THE BORING COMPANY JUST STARTED TUNNELING UNDER NASHVILLE – AND THIS IS WHY IT’S A BIG DEAL The Boring Company announced that tunneling has officially begun on the Music City Loop in Nashville, Tennessee — the first major Boring project outside of Texas and Nevada. This is not just another tunnel. It’s the start of a privately funded high-speed underground transit system that could completely change how cities solve congestion without spending decades and tens of billions on traditional subways. Why this matters more than most people realize: • Cost & speed revolution
Traditional subways cost $500M–$2B per mile and take 10–20+ years. The Boring Company’s target is ~$50M per mile and construction measured in years, not decades. Nashville is one of the first real-world tests at city scale. • 8-minute airport-to-downtown
The planned route connects the Capitol, Convention Center, Broadway (tourist core), and Nashville International Airport in roughly 8 minutes — faster than driving even without traffic. No surface disruption, no eminent domain fights, minimal noise. • Proof of concept for dozens of cities
If Nashville works (first segment targeted for late 2026), it becomes the blueprint for Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Dubai, and many others already in discussions. Vegas Loop already carries millions of passengers; this is the next level. • Scalable model for urban future
Electric, autonomous Tesla vehicles in tunnels at up to 150 mph goal. Zero emissions, weather-proof, accident-proof, and silent. Cities can add stations incrementally without shutting down streets for years. • Broader vision
Underground networks free up surface land for parks, housing, bike lanes. They make cities more livable, reduce traffic deaths, and enable denser, more efficient urban growth — all while being cheaper and faster to build. This is not hype — it’s happening. Tunneling started this week. Prufrock machines are in the ground. Nashville is the next domino after Vegas and Giga Texas. The future of city transportation isn’t wider highways or more light rail. It’s underground, electric, and fast — and The Boring Company is proving it can be done.

Toured giga texas yesterday, and can’t stop thinking about what I saw. no pics allowed on the factory floor, but I’ll do my best to describe: As our bus rounds the corner, I spot a massive tower of tanks and radiator lines rising 3 stories in the air - the cooling infrastructure for the AI compute powering FSD. Then I notice 25 golden cybercabs in formation in the shadow of the building, like they’d just dropped off from some alien planet. Production is about to go ballistic. After check-in, we enter the building. There’s a grid of streets connecting 11 million square feet. Lines of cybertrucks, being built from the inside out, steadily glide past in every direction. Massive sheets of stainless steel are heated and forced through pressurized air, sculpting sleek, spaceship looking panels to clad the trucks. Suddenly, I notice movement overhead and look up. The same thing is happening for stories & stories directly above. At certain portals, cybertrucks on large hydraulic “skillets” suddenly ascend 40 feet up a shaft to another floor, then descend again. We walk and walk, and finally through a portal into the model y zone. Sparks fly like fireworks in the distance, and as we draw closer, I can smell it Hundreds of huge robotic arms fly around each other at speeds that makes you dizzy - lifting, flipping, rotating huge pieces of aluminum frames while others stretch out and weld joints mid-air. Further on, we see model Y’s driving themselves off the final testing line. Sixty perfect electric cars an hour. The guide tells me they just recently switched on the self drive for the exit route, saving thousands of man-hours that were spent driving each vehicle across the road and waiting for a shuttle back. Just one tiny example of the kind of breakthroughs happening here constantly. Our hour and a half is up, it’s time to go. We’ve seen maybe 5% of it. On the way out I stop in the lobby and cautiously walk up to optimus, the humanoid robot Tesla is currently engineering. I size him up, put my arm around him for a photo. Then I walk over to the original roadster, built from a lotus body as a wild concept 18 years ago. One car would change the course of the world - though only one person believed it at the time. I tap a button and my model x drives me 2 hours home. Flawlessly and smoothly. I have a lot to think about and the brain space to do it. The farm is beautiful and quiet in the cool night air. All I can hear are birds in the trees, wind blowing their leaves, and the chime on our front porch. But a couple times a day, I hear low thunder in the distance, and the pictures rattle slightly on the walls. It’s the huge rocket engines firing at the spacex facility in mccgregor, 30 miles west. I’m a country boy, and proud of it. But wow. what did I just see.

I don’t think people truly understand what’s about to happen with 𝕏 Money. This is Elon going back to his roots - back to x.com - and building what he always wanted in the first place: one place that runs your entire financial life. When he rebranded Twitter to 𝕏 in 2023, he said straight up that we’re adding the ability to conduct your entire financial world. He even said you may not even need a traditional bank account. Most people brushed that off. And now it’s becoming real. 𝕏 Money has already been live in closed beta internally within the company. A limited external beta is expected soon, and they’ve already secured money transmitter licenses in over 40 states plus DC. 𝕏 Payments is registered with FinCEN. Visa is officially partnered. You’ll be able to fund your wallet instantly, send peer-to-peer payments, move money to your bank, and eventually use a debit card. And I think this is just the beginning. This will probably start as a simple wallet where you can send money as easily as sending a DM. With this technology, you can pay creators, pay subscriptions, pay whatever bills, shop inside the app, get paid inside the app, and much more. Then, there will be high-yield savings, you can invest, you can get loans, have money market accounts, maybe even treasury access, cool smart cashtags that let you see live stock prices in your timeline and execute trades seamlessly, crypto integration, potentially full asset management… the list goes on and on… Elon literally said this is meant to be the central source of ALL monetary transactions. Bro… think about that for a sec. Your 𝕏 profile becomes your financial identity. Everyone you follow is already there. Everyone you interact with is already there. That social graph becomes your distribution engine. Like, you won’t need a separate banking app, no need for a separate investing app, no need for a separate payment app… this all lives where you already spend your time. Right here on 𝕏. Look at WeChat in China, which Elon always alluded to. Payments, messaging, shopping, investing - all integrated in one app. It handles $ trillions in volume and became deeply embedded in everyone’s daily life. Now 𝕏 is building the Western version of that, but with a more global reach, and xAI’s AI layered on top of all this. Before you call me crazy, you have to understand how big this opportunity is. Digital payments globally are measured in the tens of $ trillions of dollars annually. Even just capturing a small slice of that across hundreds of millions, and eventually a billion, users can change everything. 𝕏 already has the audience. That lowers customer acquisition costs significantly. Add fintech revenue on top of ads, plus float, plus lending, plus investing tools, and we’re talking about a completely different valuation profile. Now, $44B for this company looks like the bargain of the decade… this was one of the main reasons I invested in 𝕏. And if they execute the way they’ve executed at Tesla and SpaceX, this could truly fundamentally redefine how people handle $ . Most people today still see 𝕏 as just a social media app. I see it as the foundation of a financial system layered on top of a global network. Ultimately becoming the “everything” app. And this I believe is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Elon is calling this a game-changer. I believe him.

Tesla's 15" screen is great... but I just discovered a way to take Supercharging to the next level 👀 RayNeo Air 4 Pro Batman Edition – it's basically a 201” HDR10 cinematic display you wear on your face. World's first AR glasses with HDR10 + Bang & Olufsen audio for that immersive sound. Plug in, pop these on, turn Supercharging into private movie theater mode. Insane tech for $249 early bird! 🦇🔋

I have lived in Nashville for 20 years and am beyond excited for Music City Loop. I’m shocked that certain Metro Council Members are attacking a private company who wants to invest in Nashville, and opposing a project which is: - 10 minutes from downtown to airport - All electric - Hundreds of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars of investment. Not just the tunnels - they are building 30+ stations - Safest public transportation system in the country - Is FREE - no taxpayer dollars Metro Council - you should be thanking @boringcompany for wanting to come to Nashville, not attacking them. @Angienashville @AllenBurkley @Oliviahill247 @Joyforjustice @Toombsfortwo @Jgamble4council @Cortese_4 @Seanforfive @Claycapp @HarrellforD8 @Votejfw @Jeff_eslick @Erinfor12 @Bradford4D13 @JordanHuffman @Ginnywelsch @Terryvofornash @Cashforcouncil @Jacobkupin4D19 @Hortonrollin @VoteBTaylor @Druffel_thom @Brenda4nash @JLPreptit @Votejohnston @Votebenton @Johnlrutherford @Stylesfor32 @JasonSpainTN

Doug DeMuro ranked the @Tesla Model S as the #1 most important car of the last 30 years in his new video. Doug: "The Model S really changed the world. It made you think that EVs could be cool, fast, luxurious. It really reset any public opinion about EVs, that you didn't have to make major compromises; They (Tesla) created a cultural icon. If you created a list of the top 10 all-time cars that changed the world, Model S is in the top 5."
