@devongiehl Yes! I’ve done 4 international flights with no illness! I’ll trade a tiny bit of ear pain for that kind of peace of mind.

I’m thinking that airlines should schedule planes with enough time to check and fix things before passengers are boarded and sitting with their babies for hours on the plane. What do you think @united ?

@devongiehl Yes! I’m reading The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by @SAChakrabooks and am enjoying the fierce pirate Mom with a troubled past to be very fun.

@devongiehl MSN Messenger and FF11 were much easier to hangout with than having a license, picking up everyone 10-15 minutes apart, driving 15 mins to the mall all to be yelled at.

@dadadocot Not a major deal but worth keeping in mind, finding a place that has its major walkway areas exposed to the sun really helps with snow. I’d try to avoid North facing driveways / walk ups.

@swagioliravioli Oatmeal is blah! Overnight muesli with 50/50 oatmeal and kefir is where it’s at. That’s what I’ve managed to keep eating most days for a year

@DamnedDutchman @roaminghawkeye We could seriously debate them, but they won’t actually do it. They thrive on the narrative that archaeology is conspiring to silence them, what good does losing a debate do for them? There’s no substance.

@roaminghawkeye Can I suggest publicly debating the likes of Randal Carlson and Graham Hancock? It's people like that that have captured the public imagination and no amount of hand wringing will change that. You want archaeology to change? You'll need to seriously start considering their views.

Growing up, my name was difficult for a lot people. Now my little one has an even more difficult name. I want to stress that asking for help with someone’s name is good. Not sticking to a pronunciation after two or three tries is tiring. 3/3

I am not trying to shame anyone for attempting a name, confirming pronunciation, or anything like that. Those are good things! I am just curious about that specific behavior. That someone has “attempted” to confirm their pronunciation several times 2/3

Is there such a thing as performative name pronunciation struggle? Must be some lit on it. I’ve noticed it from some people who are repeatedly exposed to a name but can’t consistently pronounce it. Almost like they want to show that they are trying. Idk. 1/3
