@starmike @NVIDIAGeForce @nvidia I've been tinkering with this crash again. Knock on wood, I've had a week of stability (versus a nearly daily crash). If you look at your Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options, are you on "balanced"? Are there "High Performance" and "Ultimate Performance" options?

@kheffner I found with Audio Redirect that the game is stable if I route a stereo source. As soon as I use a 5.1 source, Windows crashes again. So, I have something that works, but this started happening with an @NVIDIAGeForce @nvidia update a few months back.

@kheffner found your blog about the audio issues with FFXIV. My game’s been crashing in cities for about two months now. Narrowed it down to the nVidia HD Audio driver. Installed Audio Redirect and no more issues. But, I shouldn’t have to. Would you know the root cause?
