FYI "AI detectors" are notoriously SH*T and flag stuff as "AI" simply for being grammatically correct or having correct spelling etc. So not only is AI replacing, destroying the environment w/ Data Centers (and causing infrasound), not only is AI replacing jobs (that the AI should NOT be doing) (Generalized LLMs are not meant for this) now you can have your entire academic degree/career revoked and destroyed because some AI software told some BOOMER that "you totally faked this paper" again, WHEN HE HAS THE ENTIRE PROOF THAT HE WROTE IT, IN HIS GOOGLE DOCUMENTS AND EDITING HISTORY. AI has massive potential to do good in the world. The problem is its being implemented by absolute morons who believe anything ChatGPT or Claude tells them—welcome to the future nightmare dystopia.

Europeans absolutely refuse to understand rebuilding is the literal point of those "cardboard houses". The likelihood of your house taking a direct hit from a tornado, let alone one powerful enough to destroy it, is negligible. And trying to fortify it against a tornado is a fool's errand that will send material and labor costs through the roof. So, it makes far more logistical sense to build something that can be much more easily replaced, in the unlikely event.

@Jason_M_Lopez We even get tornadoes in Massachusetts every once in awhile. There really is no escaping them. Not huge ones mind you, but we still get them. Nor'Easters are the bigger issue. There is no place on Earth where Mother Nature doesn't have some way of fucking you in the ass.

How about not building towns where tornados happen so usually that you get used to them, inbred?
