i figured out it couldn't be further from the truth
i tracked 12,500 clips in our influencer campaigns to find the pattern
it's all in the time

17 minutes past beats on-the-hour by 23x
here's why this happens:
platforms refresh caches at :15
the whole thing takes 2 minutes to propagate
so :17 catches fresh algorithm state
like surfers waiting for the perfect wave
except the wave comes every hour
at EXACTLY :17 seconds
so i tested this across all platforms:
- tiktok :17 - confirmed
- instagram :17 - confirmed
- youtube :16.9 - confirmed
nice
it's UNIVERSAL
but then i did something crazy:
i restructured our entire operation:
added the "17 minute rule" to our clipper rulebook
now we have 100,000 clippers synchronized
all posting at :17 and :32
every hour, 24/7
