Y’all, I gotta vent this out real quick ‘cause my chest is tight right now. I’m 34, Chinese dude married to my 32-year-old Black American wife. Our 9-year-old baby girl has been OBSESSED with her Chinese side lately. I’ve been showing her everything I remember from my folks back home.... the Lunar New Year red envelopes, my grandma’s dumpling stories, pictures of the village where I grew up. Her little face lights up every time, like she’s discovering a whole secret world. She hit me one night like, “Daddy, teach me how to actually speak Chinese.” Man, I waited for that. We started doing 40 minutes every single day after homework. She’s so sharp, now she can hold full conversations. She FaceTimes my parents and says stuff like “Wǒ ài nǐ” with the biggest grin. Told me she was gonna teach her friends at school too. I was like, “That’s my girl, go shine.” Then today her teacher calls me. Said some kids started bullying her hard for speaking Chinese in class. She was just showing them a few words and they turned mean, saying it sounded weird, making her feel small. Her teacher handled the kids, but she thought I should know. My heart legit sank. I knew this might happen. I told my wife as soon as I got off the phone. She’s pissed at ME now. She said our daughter tries chatting in Chinese to her too and she has zero clue what’s being said. My wife looked at me and went, “You should’ve waited till she was older. Now she’s getting bullied because of this.” … Am I the asshole?

I think it’s the blind man. If he’s blind, he definitely isn’t looking at anyone in the normal sense. Also - A blind man can’t hear the mute man who can’t speak nor should he see anything that is signed or written to the deaf man so unless the other two parties or the blind man himself are physically moving or they’re all very close together in the space…. How does the blind man know he’s near other people….. Unless he’s NOT blind?
