@HMRCcustomers Hi, asking on behalf of my brother. He’s traded in a lot of old DVDs/games/electronics for in-store credit amounting >£1000. Is this a taxable event needing a self assessment? Does the £1000 of non-cash vouchers contribute to the £1000 tax free allowance? Thanks.
If by some chance this is seen by either Mr. Philip Ferrigno or Mr. Hassan Chalf, please return the money. This message is proof for my bank that contact on my behalf has been made. Thank you.
@Taxiapp_UK_ According to Companies House, it seems that you are no longer trading. Your website is down and this is the only avenue to attempt contact, but I have had £146.92 fraudulently taken from my account as of this morning. I used your services only once in October 2024.
@McDonaldsUK Not great service. Can’t get a refund on our order as it arrived “in time”, just under an hour after placing the order, despite it arriving absolutely freezing cold.
@HMRCcustomers Wow, Steve, that was a quick reply! Thanks so much. I thought that might be the case but he was a bit anxious. Thanks again and have a great weekend.
@kidmanproject Hi Rob,
It's likely he sold the goods to CEX for less than he originally paid, so this isn't something that would need to be declared to HMRC.
Steve
@HMRCcustomers Hi, asking on behalf of my brother. Over the last year he’s cleared his house of old items and has been trading them into CEX (high street 2nd hand store). He’s received in-store, non cash vouchers which have to be redeemed in CEX exclusively-
They can’t be sold for cash or spent in any other store. The amount of vouchers he’s accrued is approximately £3000 over the course of the year. These vouchers have already been used on items he’s wanted from CEX. As this is over £1000 in value, and as this is a non cash voucher-
@sainsburys Thanks for getting back to me, Linzi, I appreciate it. Thankfully it resolved itself last night so I could get my order in. Many thanks again.
@kidmanproject Hi Rob, sorry you're having trouble logging back in. If you're still having trouble, please pop us a DM, and we'll look into this further. Thanks, Linzi twitter.com/messages/compo…
@sainsburys Hi there. I was just putting my weekly shop in for delivery tomorrow and was automatically logged out. Tried both the app and website and get this message. Any help, please?

@PrincipalityBS Hi there. I’ve just received a call from 020 3781 8380 claiming to be from a company doing a survey on your behalf. I’ve Googled the number and it says that it’s affiliated with scams. Can you tell me please whether it is a genuine number? Thank you.
@ArgosHelpers Hi. Can you please provide me with a number to speak to a supervisor regarding my replacement order. I have been repeatedly told that someone will call me back and they don’t, I was told on Friday that my replacement was despatched and now today I’m told it hasn’t.
@loafhome Hi there! Saw the Blockbuster sofa in the window of the new Islington store and signed up for alerts. Do you happen to know what the measurements are, please? Just trying to work out if it will actually fit the space ahead of time. Cheers.
@O2 Thanks for the quick reply. It’s a shame that the only way is to change number. That’d be really inconvenient at the moment as I’m the point of contact for a fair few medical appointments. If it does continue then I’ll be in touch to change my number. Thanks again.
Hi Rob. You're right, we're sorry to say, it sounds like it could be a case of number spoofing. These type of calls usually stop after a short period of time, but if it continues, we can look at changing your mobile number. If this is something you'd like to do, please drop us a DM with more details.
@O2 Hi, I’ve been receiving calls lately from people saying that they’ve had a missed call from me. They’re genuine, and I genuinely haven’t called them, so I think we’ve both been victims of scammers spoofing my number. Is there any assistance you could provide, please? Cheers.
