The way some anime DS games got localized is kind of crazy to be because this happened to Princess on Ice except it's not just the cover art. They changed the entire game's art. They de-animeified the entire thing. Why would you do this? Why?

If I'm understanding your overall point here, this is a separate conversation from the actual point under debate. The core issue isn't whether "science has figured it out yet," whether most people care, or what other ideologies/actions exist. Those are separate sociological or practical questions, and science isn't a monolithic body of knowledge from authority, it's a process that anyone can engage in to falsify or validate specific testable claims. The question on the table is definitional and mechanistic: What traits actually trigger the arousal when mature adult alternatives exist in the same medium, and how that stimulus-response relationship categorically maps to the paraphilia in question. Science not having a complete causal explanation for a preference doesn't invalidate observable reality or logical categorization of the stimulus itself. Personal opinion, popular indifference, or "many variables" also don't override first-principles derivation from what's necessarily, observably true about the mechanism. Accepting those observable traits as consistently as possible still gets us to the same categorical overlap, as I've said a couple of times now, regardless of current scientific gaps or what most people prioritize. If you'd like to engage on the actual mechanism rather than pivoting to why people might not care, I'm happy to continue. Otherwise, this seems like a point of irreconcilable difference on method. My only interest is deriving truth from scientifically valid reasoning. I'm not concerned with popular consensus or deference to perceived authority. Those have no truth value.
