I’ll Wear Akwete Wrapper If My Husband Is Re-Elected President — Oluremi Tinubu
Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has said that she will wear a traditional ‘Akwete’ ‘buba’ and wrapper at the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu for his second term if he is re-elected in the 2027 general elections.
The ‘first lady’ made the declaration during her maiden visit to the Akwete Weaving Cooperative Village in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, where she also announced a ₦2 billion intervention to revive and promote the renowned indigenous textile industry.

Former DSS operative, Seyi Adetayo, has revealed how the abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo were rescued after 56 days in captivity, without ransom payment or prisoner exchange.
According to him, “They identified the kidnappers’ mothers, wives, children, and close associates. They arrested them, recorded videos, and sent them to the abductors.”
Adetayo said security forces relied on intelligence to track the kidnappers’ network. The operatives cut off their supplies and escape routes, and applied pressure through coercion and negotiations to force the rescue.

When a suspect on bail disappears, the bail is broken. Adeyemi violated his bail conditions by holding a press conference that contradicted his police statement. The police are now entitled to re-arrest him. They cannot find him.
Arresting a family member to pressure a fugitive to surface is legally contested, but not arbitrary. If the police believe the father knows where his son is, he is a material witness at a minimum.
He is due in court in three weeks and cannot be found.

If this is true, why would the Police arrest his father though? Did the father have a hand in anything that happened or is this an illegal substituted arrest? Has the Police issued any statement about it?

@OInnocxnt @asemota I had similar experience in London last year. Waited for 2 hours on a queue only to get to the front and was told nonchalantly that the food had finished. Nigeria was not around when God created good customer service.

There’s a Naija restaurant at San Jose in the Bay Area where average wait time for a plate of jollof rice is almost two hours; wish I was making this up.
Whites, Asians they come here too and I can’t imagine how many will never come back. I want to have a convo with the owner to help optimize the process but something just tells me to mind my business. It’s so sad.
