LOUISIANA HAS OUTLAWED BALLOON GRIEVING It is now a crime in Louisiana to let go of a balloon, and launch it in the sky, sending it up to a loved one in heaven. The state wild life office says the balloons eventually come down, causing a problem for animals. Your Thoughts?

@Marriott 2/2 Staff does not care. Basically it’s too bad for us. Finally said if we stay in the hot room we’ll get a reduced rate. After arguing he said we could sleep in the hot room no charge. I told him I’d sleep in my wheelchair in the lobby and put pics all over the media

@Marriott 1/2 Your service sucks! We r in a room in Mt Lebanon,PA. AC in our room does not work. It’s at least 78 in here. Staff said there r no rooms & we can open a window or borrow their fan and they will discount the rate or go somewhere else. No rooms anywhere near here.

@gldivittorio Hantavirus risk is mostly about inhaling particles from rodent droppings/urine, especially when they’re disturbed in enclosed spaces.

Personal hantavirus anecdote—when I worked in the Grand Tetons we had very strict eco regulations on what cleaning chemicals we could use in sheds, patrol cabins, etc. Rodent droppings (how most hantavirus is transmitted) was the one time we were allowed to use straight up bleach

My neighbor’s two large dogs are pooping/peeing in my yard, and the urine is killing patches of our grass. We’ve already talked to their owner about it, but nothing has changed. Has anyone dealt with this successfully? Any advice to keep the dogs from doing this? Not trying to start a neighbor war, or do anything that will harm the dogs, I just trying to protect our lawn and stop cleaning up after dogs that aren’t ours.
