The security forces are sealing our entire border with the DRC until further notice. No movement of people between the two countries is permitted. This is in response to the Ebola outbreak in DRC. Trying to breach this order will endanger your life. We will update you on the situation as it develops.

If Uganda is finally serious about fighting corruption openly, without whistleblowers and the people assigned to investigate being threatened (hopefully) then the fight must be consistent, fearless, and non-selective. @NITAUganda1 how is the NBI project going?, where is the revenue from the NBI clients being deposited?, has your billing system been compromised and who is benefiting from the diverted funds? Who is receiving rental payments from non- NBI tenants at the DR centre in Jinja, how far have you gone with the TIER 3 DC in Entebbe, does NBI phase 5 reaaly exist or we are 'rectifying' phase 3 and 4 ???? @solitontelmec how is business??? congratulations on successfully buying old equipment decommissioned by @Airtel_Ug such as the G1A boards currently installed in the NBI NET ENGINES having budgeted for new ones, ......whats up with the installation of DWDM sites, why is the equipment lying idle at most District headquarters and town councils, or you are waiting for the equipment to get to end of life again and ask for another supplementary budget. ....and....whats the story with these racks that you returned to the @NITAUganda1 warehouse and how did they later get shifted to another location that you know? @BaryomunsiChris of @MoICT_Ug what is the relationship between CITCC and Huawei in NBI project ...could they be step brothers??? .....should i continue ????? A real anti-corruption fight does not stop at convenient targets or political headlines. It follows the paper trail everywhere regardless of offices, connections, or timelines. Otherwise, we are not fighting corruption; we are managing public perception. Ugandans deserve transparency, consistency, and answers. Lets put an end to public projects becaming endless money-mining holes at the expense of taxpayers. #MALIZAUFISADI @KagutaMuseveni @mkainerugaba @AntiGraft_SH @IGGUganda

@AndrewMwenda may share one thing with @KagutaMuseveni: the pen. Both men can write, analyse, influence debate and shape political conversations. But Museveni’s response also carried two other symbols: the Bible and the gun. Not necessarily as abstract ideas, but as lived experience. For Museveni, the gun is not theory. It is bush war, sacrifice, survival and physically fighting to take and hold power. And reading through his response to Mwenda, one could interpret the Bible as representing conviction, belief, destiny and moral anchoring beyond intellect alone. Which makes the contrast between the two men even more interesting because Mwenda himself has repeatedly approached faith, religion and God through skepticism and intellectual questioning. So while the pen may be the common denominator between them, the Bible may represent a dimension of leadership and grounding Museveni believes Mwenda neither fully relates to nor understands in the same way. What also makes this fascinating is that Mwenda is not some distant outsider disconnected from the establishment he critiques. His brother, Gen. Muhanga, remains among the top commanders in the UPDF, a force rooted in Museveni’s NRA liberation struggle. His sister, @MargaretMuhanga, has served as State Minister and is an MP within the same political establishment. Mwenda himself remains closely connected to the First Son @mkainerugaba, the son of the very man he is now publicly describing as “senile,” through PLU structures aligned to the NRM. Yet even after years of clashes with the same establishment ,including his 2005 arrest over alleged sedition linked to comments surrounding John Garang’s death, and his 2008 arrest over alleged “seditious materials” tied to controversial reporting on state security and the military ,Mwenda still remains deeply intertwined with the same power structures surrounding Museveni while publicly challenging the man at the centre of them. I guess Museveni is very tolerant!

We all have a stake in ensuring that the parasites that benefit from maligning Uganda do not win. Zero cases of Ebola in #Uganda. No one in Uganda has tested positive for #Ebola

@FoxNews The American Doctor was in the DRC which is the country west of Uganda. He did not treat any ebola patients in Uganda. There is currently no outbreak on Ugandan territory. Please make this clarification.

In June 2013, I wanted to contest for the @OfficialFUFA Presidency. The law was quickly amended to keep me out. I am back to say I am still available for that task. I can bring about the footballing glory all we Ugandans dream of. Time to save our football from thieves. Let’s take back our game

Today at Nakasero, I met Mr. Aliko Dangote and we discussed the proposed East African regional refinery. I informed him that from the very beginning, we have always opposed the export of raw materials without value addition. That is why Uganda delayed oil production because we insisted on first having a refinery. Without refining our oil, it would not make economic or strategic sense to simply export crude oil while others benefit from the finished products. I, therefore, welcomed the idea of a bigger regional refinery because our objective is African integration and shared prosperity. We cannot continue operating as fragmented and weak markets. If East Africa works together, such projects become more viable and beneficial to our people. Uganda is ready to support the regional refinery initiative while also continuing with the development of our own refinery in Hoima.

Listen to what we go through while intercepting PSVs carrying excess passengers. Nevertheless, we remain committed to creating safer roads. To the whistleblowers, thank you very much. We encourage others to emulate the habit of reporting such traffic violations to help save lives.
