First and foremost, Rome has always been my brother has been and always will be. We’ve known each other for decades and been in the trenches together. So all that outside noise and commentary? I don’t know who you are, and honestly, I don’t care. Keep it about the games. Keep it about the topic. Secondly, I’ve been in gaming since the beginning from the NES era all the way to now. A lot has changed over the years, and whether people like it or not, those changes are here. You either accept them or you don’t. I’m not interested in picking sides. Never have been. I’m interested in explaining what people don’t understand. Console warring is what it is, and I’m not part of that. I own everything. I play everything. And I’ll always be that way. But as an adult, I can fundamentally see what’s happening in the industry, and I try to offer an explanation that exists outside the usual talking points of. I’m a Playstation fan. I’m a Xbox fan. I’m a Nintendofan. As a grown man, you have the freedom to buy whatever you want and the right to have whatever opinion you want. But let’s be real on social media, most of this is about engagement. It’s about gaining followers and eventually monetizing opinions. I understand that, which is why I usually stay out of it. But Rome is brother. That’s my dude. So when I see him leaning too hard in one direction, I’ll speak up not to attack him, but to show what it looks like from the other side. That’s it. No drama. No agenda. ✌️

I don’t really look at it as a problem. I kind of look at it the same way I looked at DVD players back in the day. When DVD players first came out, they all basically did the same thing and why did you buy one over the other. Then Blu-ray hit, and people started asking, “Why would I switch?” And the answer wasn’t just picture quality it was features. Some players were connected, some weren’t. Then you had certain brands that let you watch DVDs, Blu-rays, and stream Netflix and other apps. That’s when the choice became clear for a lot of people. You didn’t switch because of the disc's you switched because of what the hardware allowed you to do. I think consoles are heading in that same direction. If games are everywhere, then the decision comes down to the hardware and the features that hardware offers. That’s what’s going to make someone choose one box over another not access to games, but how they experience those games. It’s the same thing with PC. There are thousands of PCs on the market, and now there are like 20 different handheld gaming PCs alone. They all play PC games. They all run Steam. Yet people still debate which one to buy. Why? Features. Performance. Screen quality. Battery life. Thermals. Software experience. Consoles will be no different. At that point, it becomes: What features does this console offer? How does it perform? What ecosystem feels better to use? And people forget one huge thing that absolutely matters: controllers. Controllers matter a lot. Ergonomics, stick feel, triggers, haptics—those things absolutely influence where someone chooses to play. That alone can be a deciding factor. So if games are everywhere, I don’t think that kills hardware at all. I think it actually forces hardware to compete harder. It becomes about experience, features, and preference not artificial restrictions. And honestly? That’s probably healthier for the industry in the long run.

I want Microsoft to sell the Xbox brand and the new owner make Xbox games great and exclusive to the Xbox platform.

Bro, with all due respect, the whole “competition” narrative in video games is basically over. I honestly feel like it’s our age group that’s still holding onto that mindset. Most people I know have at least two systems in some kind of setup—console, PC, handheld, something. The idea of picking one side and planting a flag just isn’t how people actually play anymore. At this point, it’s all about the games. Period. If the games are good, people will find a way to play them. And if you choose to put those games everywhere console, PC, cloud, whatever you’re going to make money. Accessibility wins. More players wins. The industry has shifted. It’s no longer about “us vs them,” it’s about reach, engagement, and letting people play where they’re comfortable. The sooner folks accept that, the sooner these conversations stop feeling stuck in the past.

Exclusive games is not creating walls. It’s creating COMPETITION.

So I decided to treat myself to a new Xbox controller and ordered the Zenless Zone Zero G7 Pro from Amazon. In the same order, I also had a bottle of octane booster. At some point during shipping, something clearly went wrong. I received an email saying the octane booster was undeliverable and that I’d been refunded. I didn’t think much of it, especially since the email also said the controller was still on the way and scheduled to arrive today. Fast-forward to delivery day, I open the package, and the controller is completely drenched in octane booster. Like… what the hell, Amazon? This isn’t a small leak. The box was soaked, the controller smelled like fuel, and now I’m sitting here with a brand-new controller that I don’t even feel safe using. A refunded item ended up destroying the rest of the order. Quality control completely missed the mark on this one. I’ve already reached out to customer support, but this is beyond frustrating—especially when you’re just trying to treat yourself and end up dealing with a mess instead. @amazon @AmazonHelp

The creator of Call of Duty and Battlefield 6 was killed in a car crash Vince Zampella lost control of his Ferrari as it exited a tunnel, crashed into a barrier, and caught fire. Zampella was driving and died at the scene. The passenger was thrown from the car by the impact and later died in hospital.

I never played Concord, so I keep my mouth shut — and honestly, anyone who hasn’t played it should probably take a back seat too. The people who did play it never got the chance to see what the game could have truly become. A lot of folks online didn’t really critique the gameplay — they just jumped straight to labels and complaints based on surface-level impressions. It became less about the actual experience and more about outrage culture doing what it does best. And once that train starts rolling, it’s hard for any new game to stand a chance. Concord deserved time to grow, time to prove itself, time to show what the devs had planned. Instead of giving it that opportunity, a whole wave of people decided it was easier to tear it down than to give it a fair shot. At the end of the day, we’ll never know what Concord could have turned into — and that’s the real loss.
