Why LeBron will never be the GOAT.
LeBron James has done everything there is to do in basketball.
-Multiple championships and Finals MVPs on multiple teams.
-His name is on every top 5 list.
-He has broken virtually every NBA record.
-He is the oldest player performing at this level.
-The longevity alone is unprecedented.
By every measurable standard he should be the undisputed GOAT.
But the GOAT debate was never about stats for Jordan fans and old heads. It never was. It’s a mindset. A religion almost.
Jordan is the GOAT and that position is permanently closed regardless of what LeBron does or doesn’t do.
To them LeBron isn’t competing for the title. He’s just auditioning for a role he’ll never get.
