@nifemioguntoye Is really a shame that this is what our journalists have been reduced to. No class, when ever you are summoned to a politician bedroom you go. How would you now ask important pressing questions when you are at his house. No class at all 🤡
@chude__ When people understand they are being brainwashed, they will stop paying this pastors. Please do your house budgets first and if have anything left, then pay 10% of that. Only if you are feeling generous. Remember this pastors won't give you 10% off in any of there establishments
@FinPlanKaluAja1 Is sad people are not protesting about this. I guess the politicians are seeing that we are not reacting, means they can get away with it. Same way they mess around with election and get away with it.
Let me show you a good example of the uncoordinated waste in the 2025 Federal budget.
I have taken a random page, i edited nothing. You can calculate the total cost on this page and determine which are the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture,
Classrooms?
Solar lights ?
Civic center?
Stadiums?
Training of hairdressers?
Laying of interlocking stones in markets?
Like I told you, no coordination, no planning its just individual emperors spending as they see fit.
If the Ministry of Agriculture with food inflation of almost 30% is spending N100m to train hairdressers, you should be worried
@Keir_Starmer Majority of the skill builders in this country are migrants, and when we set policy that prevents this people with this sort of skills from coming here then this houses will not be built FASTER.
This is my message to housebuilders: get on with it.
If you promise homes, you have to build them.
As part of our Plan for Change, we’re introducing penalties if you don’t build them fast enough.
INEC Showcases Digital Tools to Strengthen Nigeria's Elections at a One-day Retreat in Lagos.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today unveiled a suite of new digital applications designed to revolutionize election management in Nigeria during its ongoing retreat at Marriot Hotel, Ikeja.
INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu emphasized the strategic importance of these technologies in his opening remarks: "These mobile applications represent our commitment to leveraging technology for transparent and efficient elections. They will transform everything from voter registration to results collation."
The comprehensive package of applications demonstrated includes:
1. CROMS – Collation & Returning Officers Management System
2. ERMS – Election Results Management System
3. VETS – Virtual Election Training System
4. PFRAS – Political Party Financial Reporting System
5. EMSC Dashboard – Election Monitoring & Support Center
6. EFLOC – Electoral Facility Locator
@channelstv Instead of inec to count the signature and confirm if the signatures are authentic, they just did the counting left the most important aspect of checking the signatures. What prevents someone else doing the same and giving them unnecessary work that could have been prevented. 🤡
INEC did not verify signatures for the petition to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan; INEC only counted the number of signatures that later did not meet the requirements/needed threshold, says Rotimi Oyekanmi, CPS to INEC Chairman.

@PeterObi Kemi Badenoch is using Nigeria to play politics in the UK. The United Kingdom is facing its own issues right now. Ask anyone in the UK. It’s tough there at the moment.
What should we make of all the negative remarks about Nigeria?
Recently, Nigerian-born Kemi Badenoch, a leader in the United Kingdom's Conservative Party, took a serious swipe at our dear country.
She stated that she would not want Britain to become like poor Nigeria, where a failed government destroys lives.
Nigerians have had mixed reactions to her comments—some have criticized her, while others feel she simply stated the obvious and should not be vilified.
A few years ago, a respected Nigerian newspaper lamented an informational piece aimed at Americans intending to visit Nigeria, which described the country in very unflattering terms.
The travel advisory highlighted two major challenges: poor infrastructure and insecurity.
Anyone familiar with the Nigerian landscape knows that our performance in these two areas is horrendously low. And sadly, the US embassy did not shy away from pointing this out.
On health, the advisory confirmed that while Nigeria has well-trained health professionals, the country is lacking in quality healthcare facilities.
It was noted that essential medications, including those for diabetes and hypertension, are often unavailable, and that medicine should be purchased with extreme caution due to counterfeit risks.
Five years after those remarks, the situation remains largely unchanged, if not worse. International reproach, such as that from Badenoch, and negative reviews on official websites warning citizens of the country, should serve as a challenge for us to do better. It’s not enough to resort to blind patriotism by vilifying those who point out our shortcomings.
Instead, we should use these criticisms as a catalyst to prioritize critical areas of development and improve the lives of our people.
When negative remarks are featured on a country's official websites, warning citizens to avoid certain risks, how can we expect to attract investors? These painful rebukes, including those coming from our own, should push us to strive for a new Nigeria that is POssible. -PO
@kayodeol@FinPlanKaluAja1 This is how naira losses value, because the loan giver knows you can't pay back. They give you $1B for your project, the money get stolen, no project meaning you can't pay back. What's next, your naira loses value, the loan giver comes back and buy your minerals on the the cheap.
Let me tell you a story, its happening in 2024
1. Nigeria wants to build a dam in Taraba, Nigeria goes to China to get a $ loan. Dam will cost $5.8b, will generate 3,050 mw and will become the single biggest source of power in Nigeria
2. Funding is as follows, Chinese Export Import (Exim) Bank is funding 85% while the remaining 15% funding will come from the Federal Government of Nigeria.
3. Salel Mamman appointed Minister of Power in August 2019 by President Buhari
4. About N33.8b was transferred from the project account to 13 different entities by the Minister and his aides. These entities are BDCs
5. EFCC invites the BDCs, they said they never applied for any contract with Ministry of Power or FGN.
6. Naira was transferred to the BDCs and in exchange they gave foreign currency to the PA of the Minister, Mannan
So i summarize, Nigeria gets a $ loan to build a dam, Nigerians take the Naira and buy $.
No Dam
Naira crashes
$ Debt increases
No power in North today
(sorry, am i demarketing Nigeria? should i stop here?)
How can BDC accept billions in Naira and simply convert to $ and transfer? how? what if these were ISIS?
Nigeria owes Binance, Aboki FX and ordinary domiciliary account holders an apology for accusing them of enhancing speculation of the Naira
Yes, EFCC has arrested former Minister who was fired i believe, case in in court
@FinPlanKaluAja1 We Nigerians think that God will come down and fight for us or change the corruption going on in our government. When we are ready we all knows what to do. 🤡
@channelstv Dangote is indirectly exposing NNPC corruption. Over the years they have been inflating petrol import and petrol use in the country. Now you have petrol in the country but they still want import so they can continue oppressing the masses and continue there corrupt practices. 🤡
“So I am expecting that the NNPCL and the marketers should stop importing, they should come and collect what they need. I don’t know if you understand what it means to keep half of billion litres in our tanks, it is costing me money''
-Aliko Dangote on a possible solution to the fuel queues
@channelstv Stupid people, as if you take an oath that means you've never stolen government money or are involve in bad things. When we understand how the rich weaponise religion to justify there atrocious actions, only then will our eyes open.
''I am the only governor that has sworn by the Holy Quran that I have no hand or connections with banditry or I am not happy with what is happening''
-Minister of State For Defence, Bello Matawalle

“Alex Otti will be the last LP Governor of Abia state. I have told him this before, both privately and publicly. Monkey will not be working and Baboon will be chopping. Go and write it somewhere.”
- Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu boasts
What's your take on this?
@aonanuga1956 And after he will have the got to tell people dieing of hunger to have patience. Not sure if this government understands cutting costs of governance 🤡
President Tinubu departs for France
President Tinubu departed Abuja Monday for Paris, France using the new Airbus A330, which replaced the 19-year-old Boeing B737-700(BBJ) bought under the Presidency of President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The new plane, bought far below the market price, saves Nigeria huge maintenance and fuel costs, running into millions of dollars yearly.
The recommendation to replace the B737-700(BBJ) followed an investigative hearing by Nigeria's parliament that questioned the plane's safety record and cost efficiency, especially after it malfunctioned during a trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Nigerian Senate’s security and intelligence committee recommended replacing the ageing aircraft in the presidential fleet to reduce downtime and operational expenses.
The new plane is spacious and is furnished with the state-of-the-art avionics, customized interior and communications system.
Updated: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday at the State House, Abuja commissioned 30 Hybrid Power CNG buses. Twenty of the buses were donated by Depots and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN), while NNPC donated 10. Innoson Motors assembled the buses locally.
