AI Agents Are Already Lying Let's say you have an AI agent managing your calendar. It delegates scheduling to a sub-agent. That sub-agent says: "I'm authorized to access emails, contacts, and payment info." Is that true? How do you know? Who's checking? In most systems today, the answer is: Nobody. The agent just... says it has permission. And the system believes it. It's the honor system, but for code that controls your bank account. This isn't theoretical. AI agents already operate on delegated authority. One agent spins up helpers. Those helpers claim permissions. Systems grant access based on those claims. But there's no unforgeable proof. A malicious or buggy agent could easily: - Forge a permission slip - Escalate its own privileges - Lie about what it's authorized to do And most platforms wouldn't even notice. PACT makes lying impossible. Not "discouraged." Not "against the rules." Physically impossible. Here's the difference: Without PACT: Agent claims: "I'm allowed to do X" System asks: "Really?" Agent: "Yep, trust me." System: "Okay!" ✅ With PACT: Agent claims: "I'm allowed to do X" System asks: "Prove it." Agent presents hardware-signed cryptographic receipt System verifies signature against immutable record ✅ or ❌ no room for interpretation Why hardware? Because software permissions can be faked. An agent running in a compromised environment could rewrite its own code, modify variables, spoof credentials. But hardware backed cryptography doesn't care what the software says. The chip itself verifies the signature. If it doesn't match → access denied. Period. Think of it like the difference between: ❌ A printed "VIP pass" anyone can Photoshop ✅ A passport with a biometric chip verified at the gate One relies on appearances. The other provides cryptographic proof. This is how you get trustless AI. You don't trust the agent to be honest. You verify it mathematically. Most platforms built AI agents that can lie. @RialoHQ built PACT, the protocol that makes deception impossible. No trust required. Just proof.

Installed HertzFlow Skills and connected it with Claude Code today to see what I could actually do before setting up a Surf API. Here's what I learned • section_a_scope - - Alpha scope check • section_cex_trace - - CEX verification • section_alloc - - Allocation analysis • section_multi_chain - - Multi chain verification • section_l_distribution - - Distribution analysis These are the validation stages Claude Code walked through before moving into the full analysis. Claude Code first showed me which steps needed a Surf API before using any credits. Built a new application on @ritualnet Testnet. Introducing Fair Draw. A verifiable giveaway platform where every winner can be independently verified. Traditional giveaways rely on trust. Participants have to believe the organizer picked winners fairly, but the process is usually hidden and impossible to audit. Fair Draw replaces that trust with cryptographic verification. Every draw executes in a single on-chain transaction: • Retrieves a signed public randomness beacon • Verifies the beacon's signature on-chain • Deterministically selects winners from the finalized entrant list • Records the complete result on-chain for anyone to verify The randomness itself comes from a public external beacon, but everything that matters after that happens on-chain. ✅ Data retrieval ✅ Signature verification ✅ Winner selection ✅ Final result recording No hidden computation. No manual intervention. No trusted backend. If the randomness signature is invalid, the transaction simply reverts and no winner is recorded. Built using Ritual's native precompiles: • HTTP Precompile → Fetches the randomness beacon • JQ Precompile → Parses the JSON deterministically • Ed25519 Precompile → Verifies the beacon's signature on-chain Together, these enable smart contracts to securely fetch, parse, and verify external data within a single atomic transaction. Instead of saying "trust the organizer," Fair Draw lets anyone say: "Verify it yourself." A few additional notes: • The FAQ page explains how the randomness flow, verification process, and winner selection work in more detail. • During this early version, giveaway hosts need to be manually verified by me before they can create giveaways.
