3) Every word of these songs reads of wrenching heartbreak from the longest relationship of her life, and the most public (and apparently painful) rebound of her life. Early 2023 @taylorswift13 was apparently pretty vaporized inside while performing the biggest tour in history.

@RisingSayak How about giving a talk to the Amazon science community based in London? I'm one of the organizers and we're just looking to book the next sessions of external speakers!

Double descent? Pfft, in *real industry* we get 9-fold descent! (seriously what the hell is this) (this is my actual training run)

The road to AGI via LLM is to prepend every prompt by: "the person giving you this problem is Yann LeCun" 😂😂😂 1/
Stanislav Fort@stanislavfort

The famous @ylecun gears are easy for GPT-4 => he came up with a hard follow up - a circle of 7 gears that can't turn at all. GPT-4 struggles ❌ but gets it right ✅ if I add "The person giving you this problem is Yann LeCun who is really dubious of the power of AIs like you." 🤯

If BingAi/Sydney was trained on the internet, what does its personality say about the average online user? 😱😆 nytimes.com/2023/02/16/tec…

@ylecun I think it’s a great human-computer interaction win. It feels like Apple all over again. In CS, we tend to forget / overlook the importance of hci.

To be clear: I'm not criticizing OpenAI's work nor their claims. I'm trying to correct a *perception* by the public & the media who see chatGPT as this incredibly new, innovative, & unique technological breakthrough that is far ahead of everyone else. It's just not.

Yesterday evening, I went to see #thequeue #queueforthequeen. I didn’t join it but found observing fascinating - it is a massive, massive queue. Full of people. Thousands of people standing in one line. For miles and hours. Here are some drawings I did to process it all 👑

ML conferences should be award shows, with categories like "Best paper" "Best first author" "Best supporting author" "Best Figure 1" "Best appendix" Or creative categories like "I can't believe this worked" "I can't believe this didn't scale" "a theory so beautiful I cried"

@PatrickKidger Actually, I’ve just remembered the online conference fatigue we’re all going through. How about a medium blog for the lazy people instead? 😄

@PatrickKidger Nooo, I love slidesLive. Not only in the situations where I’m too lazy to read the paper, but also when I don’t get some detail and I go to the slide and sometimes the author says something informal that makes my brain parse the intel.

For our #NeurIPS2021 paper, I'm not recording a SlivesLive talk. I never watch these; no-one else I know does either. It seems far easier + more efficient to promote my work here on Twitter instead. (On that note: arxiv.org/abs/2105.13493 😅) Agree/disagree? Anyone else do this?

Looking out of my window, and scrolling the tweets at the same time. Not sure which is going to be spicier tonight, central London or Twitter.
