Antisemitism has no place in the Republican Party, higher education or our country. Grateful to @UF for working with the FFCR to stand with Jewish students and resolve this quickly.
FLORIDA@UF

The University of Florida was recently informed by the Florida Federation of College Republicans (FFCR) that it has disbanded the local chapter of College Republicans (the Local CR).  This request is based on the FFCR’s findings that some Local CR members engaged in a pattern of conduct that violated its rules and values, including a recent antisemitic gesture. The FFCR also requested that the university deactivate the Local CR as a registered student organization while it looks to reorganize and pursue reinstatement under new student leadership. The University of Florida has emphatically supported its Jewish community and remains committed to preventing and addressing antisemitism and other forms of discrimination and harassment that are threatening and disruptive to our students and to the teaching, research and expressive activities of the campus community. The university also supports the rights of organizations, such as the FFCR, to take decisive action in addressing conduct that is antithetical to its principles. In compliance with its policies, the University of Florida is in the process of deactivating the Local CR as a registered student organization.  When the FFCR is ready, the university will also assist it with reactivating the Local CR under new student leadership.

Israel can commit genocide but if you call them names in a group chat @UF will genocide your campus Republican club. @RonDeSantis where is free speech on our TAXPAYER FUNDED college campuses?

@cmclymer So, he only won because two Republicans split Republican votes. Not the "win" you think it is.

Boca Raton, Florida has elected its first Democratic mayor in more than 30 years. The city voted for Trump by double digits in 2024. Because the two Republicans on the ballot split the GOP electorate, Democrat Andy Thomson initially won by a single vote on Tuesday. After a machine recount, Thomson's final winning margin today increased to five votes. It's a good example of how both inflation and Republican dysfunction bode well for Democrats in 2026.

@cmclymer I’m proud of my new mayor, but you’re missing a lot of context between the two Republicans. They are on opposite sides of the development issue in Boca. Not a single Fran voter would have flipped to Mike, and vice versa. Andy was the perfect middle ground.

From @TheAthletic: What Bam Adebayo did Tuesday was remarkable in its own right, but he should have called it a night a little bit sooner, our columnist writes. As a classy tribute to the late, great Kobe Bryant. nyti.ms/4b1YXug

one final thought on bam's 83... maybe if all of the non-ball knowers would've ever done the right thing & given him 1 of the 4 DPOYs he's earned, bam wouldn't have had to do 83 pts to you tonite. god bless.

It's also wild that only 4 Heat players had ever scored even 50 points in a game and only LeBron had scored 60.

Wol-stat of the day: Legendary ex-Raptors media relations boss Jim LaBumbard, now Wizards VP of basketball comms, was in the house for both Kobe Bryant's 81 points, and Bam Adebayo's 83. He might be the only person in the world able to say that.

@kkoch4 @CoachToddGolden @GatorsMBK Coach Golden was always the right hire. Young. Smart. Enthusiastic. Embraces analytics. Knows the game. Florida landed a likely future HOFer. It all depends on draw, frankly. Potential path determines everything.
