SCOTUS ruling could be catastrophic for small carriers? Cutting corners like hiring illegal immigrants is what's *truly* catastrophic. Brokers must be held accountable for vetting carriers, especially after incidents like the Terrell, Texas wreck. #Trucking #Logistics #Safety

🚨 The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that federal law does not shield freight brokers from state negligence lawsuits when they hire unsafe trucking companies.

PBS just did a story on immigration in trucking This guy from Waste Management is not happy with the changes “I think long term the biggest concern is that this rule reduces the available pool of talented and safe drivers in an already difficult work environment. And, allegedly, it is focused on safety, but I've got people that have driven free for 15, 20 years, been safe, won all sorts of safety awards with the company, and suddenly they can't drive. So I'm not sure it's really safety.”
