We’ve become a less social society, that’s true. But going out to malls, theaters, and restaurants has become so unpleasant. Everything from parking to the general behavior of others has become unbearable.

@unhealthytruth Oh, OK, he was "replaced". Not sure why they need to replace a 75 year old man who is largely out of the spotlight but sure, Ok.

I don’t tell everyone, but John Travolta used to be my neighbor, right here in Central Florida, which I’m sure you can look up in the news. But I think they replaced him. 😭🙈

@husafell_stone I had an interview this week and I was thinking that exact thing, this really has gotten to be a humiliation ritual. Oh and when did HR people get so incompetent? He forgot to put my email on the call invite.

@potatoslav One time, I was having my kitchen put in (if you know, you know)-I went downstairs and the installer guys were taking a break, sitting on boxes eating these jarred hot dogs.

Germany also, for some reason, sells “American hot dogs” in glass jars filled with water? not in the fridge?? i’ve literally never seen them like this in the US ever, this is a German invention.

Mike Johnson says Congress can't survive on $174k because of inflation, and uses that to justify letting members trade stocks. Incredible take from the guy who decided his only job was taking orders from the President.

@deepostsstuff81 @unhealthytruth Yah, and he looks amazing. Deep plane face lifts, PLLA injections, great nutrition, hair color and treatments. The pic is from a distance - beard, hat and mustache are covering much of the parts of a person that show age. Let's get a grip.

@kmbr99 @unhealthytruth I did some ear comparisons from throughout the years (my go-to with this stuff), and aside from a line on the lower part of his lobes which can generally appear due to age or a health concern... his inner ear shapes match. So to me, I think he's still himself too.

@WallStreetApes $8 for a tiny bag of toxic candy is crazy work. Are people really paying these prices? Nuts, if so.

CVS has installed new security devices in the candy isle You are allowed to open them without an attendant, however a loud chime sound is played while you have it open This lets the store and anyone around know you are getting candy People find this very embarrassing because everyone is alerted you are buying candy Candy and snacks are high-theft items so they must be locked up. Remember when America used to be a high trust society….

The entire data center and AI debate is very binary. Either we win, or China wins. It’s really just that simple. We let them win manufacturing. We can’t let them win AI.

A Gallup poll found that seven out of 10 Americans said they would oppose a data center being built near them. Opposition is so intense, the poll found, that more Americans would rather live near a nuclear power plant than a data center. wapo.st/48ZtSpE

My 14-year-old came home thrilled about a birthday invite… until I read it. $100 just to attend, $70 for a “special package,” at least $100 for snacks, plus a $50+ gift. That’s over $300 for one party. She really wants to go, but I can’t justify that. How do I say no without breaking her heart?

Stats say American kids are dumber than ever - historic lows in math, reading, and science. But my 6th & 7th grade kids - and all their friends - are lightyears ahead of where I was at that age. The numbers are being dragged down by mass low-skilled immigration, chronic absenteeism, and failing big-city schools.
