I made this case with just one prompt using my /render skill: "❯ /render a case for the esp32 used in this project. Consider that there is a speaker connected to it." Then Claude: - understands the components from the source code (GPIO12 has a speaker and there is the esp32-cam connected) - search on web to get the exact measures of the hardware - ask more info on how pieces are connected - writes the code using build123d - renders on a threejs canvas. My fall detection system has a case now, maybe I'll remove the wall between the two areas inside the case.

I have a favor to ask. If my work helped you, or someone you know, please follow my biographer and good friend @joelpollak and leave a comment here in case he wants to follow up with you on DMs. It gives me great joy to learn about any contribution I made. I tried to be useful.

From Ilya’s deposition— • Ilya plotted over a year with Mira to remove Sam • Dario wanted Greg fired and himself in charge of all research • Mira told Ilya that Sam pitted her against Daniela • Ilya wrote a 52 page memo to get Sam fired and a separate doc on Greg

Engineers who need business people to tell them what customers really want are the same founders who need VCs to tell them their product is good.

A lot of VCs use founder age as a proxy for how well they’ll leverage LLMs and the latest AI. In my experience, the stronger signal is how technical they are. Technical founders understand how LLMs work and can exploit them fully; non-technical founders see magic, not mechanisms.

hello. i am writing a science fiction series with deep ties into silicon valley. i am looking for a few more alpha readers (the first book is ~80% finished). responsibilities include reading, and being interrogated about what you've read any takers?

the more worlds you have a toe in, the more perspective, data, and empathy you gain. am surprised how few careers are truly interdisciplinary (e.g. media, tech, product, and design) especially as so many fields collide in the era ahead. next gen careers will look different

new project: cleo (kindle + llm) 📚 cleo is an ios app that pairs whatever book you're reading on kindle with an llm (o3) — ask questions, get recaps/summaries, or listen/discuss (think audiobooks but interactive). the llm has context on exactly where you are + the book contents. best part? no complex setup needed. just link your kindle account and that's it. it just works. reply / rt for testflight invite 👇

With time, many value their own illusion of competency over curiosity. They don't try new things. Even when they do, they try it, wanting it to fail. They don't truly want to find ways to make it work espp when it feels like a machine is undermining their core skillset.

Align stakeholders, yap, and influence all you want, but the reality is so many PMs don't have the _hard_ skills they need to get the job done. Every week (even as a CPTO!) I still: - read/write code - write SQL - bang on a spreadsheet - design in figma - build prototypes
