Whether you innately believe in reincarnation or not, please believe in this moment for me and that he will come back soon and have some way to let me know it's him

At 1:30 am today, May 10th, Henry passed away. Never in my life have I known such pure and unconditional love as I did for the past 2 years, 2 months, and 9 days. From a little boy ferret that many thought was better off not being given the chance to live his life, purely because of his disability. Who became the absolute gravitational center of my universe above all other things, and inspired so much love in the hearts of thousands of people all over the world. Every part of him and all of the lessons he taught me are woven so tightly within who I am as a person, there isn't a word that exists in the entirety of the english language which holds enough weight to appropriately describe how I feel right now. I am humbly requesting your patience with me in the following days while I process this Thank you for being part of his adventure, and for loving him just as much as I have.

@FerretPosting This was such sad news. I adored that boy, and I am so thankful that you were able to give him the good days he had that he would not have had if you hadn't been there for him.😭and 🫂

I don't know what to say. I don't know how I'm supposed to find the words, the strength or the will to say what comes next, and I don't want to because then it's real My sweet, sweet boy, Mocha passed away during the night. Life dealt Mocha so much unfairness in his short time here on earth. At 10 months old he developed a severe autoimmune condition called Disseminated Idiopathic Myofasciitis, in which his immune system targeted the soft tissues in his body. When I met him in October of 2023 he was so weak, so frail. I had never imagined I would see him that way again so soon. His owner loved him so much, but had severe health struggles of his own and wasn't able to manage his care. With a heavy heart and tears just the same, he asked me to care for Mocha and help him get better, because he had so much more life to live. I didn't know entirely what I was doing at the time, I was still a baby myself having only started working at the clinic earlier that year, but I was surrounded by so many loving, caring, and knowledgeable friends who were just as much part of Mochas recovery. Everyone loved him so much, and I am so thankful for how they supported me in helping him. All day long, all night long, fluids, feeding, fevers, chemotherapy, physical rehab, massage therapy, hydrotherapy, so many medications, so much repeat bloodwork, so many ups and downs. In December of 2023 Mocha began having regular vocal seizures due to the neutrophillic inflammation his body was experiencing. I had never experienced them before and it was heartwrenching. I tell this part of the story all the time because it was just so odd, and while I'm sure it was just a coincidence, I begged and cried and pleaded for his suffering to stop, and on Christmas, his 1st birthday, they did. He never had another seizure and from that point he recovered very quickly, before I knew it he was a bouncy baby boy again as he was always meant to be. Last month Mocha fell Ill, and was diagnosed with severe liver and gallbladder disease, and in early April biopsies revealed he had lymphoma. I can't say that I didn't do the same here, and I wish he received that same mercy again, but I can't expect too many miracles in one lifetime. I'm eternally grateful for everyone who helped me help him enjoy two years of his life happy and healthy. I wish it had been more, I wish I had gotten to see him grow old and frail years and years from now, but in the end, he had more time than he would've otherwise. Thank you Mocha, please visit often, we love you more than words could ever express

@FerretPosting Poor Mocha. I have had a lifelong problem with my bile duct...even had stones in it after I got my gall bladder out. It hurts humans when this type of stuff happens. I imagine ferrets don't like what the body is doing either. At least he's in good caring hands.

Unfortunately Mochas appointment yesterday was not good news :( For brief backstory, Mocha is 3 years old and is a DIM survivor, he was diagnosed at 10 months old and has been in remission for a little over 2 years now Last week he became slightly jaundiced and I noticed his spleen was quite large, yesterday he had blood work and a thorough ultrasound His liver enzymes are significantly elevated and on ultrasound his gallbladder and bile duct are dialated. He has a large mass potentially associated with his spleen, and two smaller masses which may be lymph nodes, as well as a small amount of free fluid in proximity to his spleen He's been put on a handful of different medications and supplements and will have a recheck in 2 weeks. Being as young as he is, we are hopeful he will see quick improvement with his liver, and can have the spleen mass addressed in the near future

On August 9th sweet Banana left us to journey on to her next big adventure. Nana had been dealing with chronic liver issues for quite some time which she was on routine medication for, and in the end she went peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her friends. Nana loved and was loved by everyone, old and young alike, she stood out from the rest of the sable ladies with her cute long crooked tail, it was the only way to tell her apart from Loki especially. Banana was 7 years old 4/22/2018 - 8/9/2025 ❤🌈

Petco called us yesterday to come pick up a very naughty little biter who had nailed me badly at work a while back, they had been trying to work with him but management was calling it and wanted to euthanize him. He doesn't have a name yet but he's a very big funny boy

We recently had a ferret named Maisy come in from a pet store that was going to euthanize her for biting an attendant. Maisy had serious behavioral issues and could not be handled. After around two months of training she is now a normal little lady and sweet as can be.
