Three cheers to my boy cat this morning, who came to press his cool little nose in my ear and meow pitifully for pets. When I realized the time I practically catapulted out of bed. My phone was deader than a doornail, and those are the only alarms I usually set!

So someone got a @Visa prepaid gift card for me at @Walmart. But the latter says they don’t accept those cards for purchases? And I can’t seem to get the damn thing to work anywhere online or in store, even tho it’s been registered online and says balance is $50. What gives?!

@alexcupec Believe it or not…. I finally got it to work on AMAZON, of all places. 🙄 it was actually given to one of our individuals, but we were having so much trouble with it, I bought it from him. That way at least HE could go shopping! 🤣

@ladydzra @Visa @Walmart Yeah, I also worked retail, so I was trying to do a $20 online transaction just to see if THAT worked… other in store attempts were under $50 as well. 😔

@knlloyd @Visa @Walmart Other prepaid cards will decline if you are trying to spend more than their value, because systems see that as a credit card limit. The solution for those is to use it to buy a gift card for the specific store you're shopping at, and then use that card to buy your stuff.

And the phone number on the back of the card doesn’t give any customer service options, just change PIN or hear transactions or balance. I’m frustrated. How can it have money, but not be accessible?

Keep in mind I bought mine new and went to REI where I had a selection and a nice employee to help me shop and she has…me, and Craigslist. 😂 so I thought I’d ask for some help. TIA!!

QUESTION FOR MY BIKE FRIENDS: My mom is looking for a (used) mountain bike for rec riding (Roaring Run, Westmo Heritage). She borrowed my Women’s Medium Pika Novara and that is a good size for her. Suggestions for comp brand/size? Under $300?
