Unfortunately FSD v14.3.3 also fails the left turn test. Started out smoothly, then turned to the right, back to the left, and then into the shoulder.
Smoothness of acceleration from stop is much improved though, no more head jerks.

Installing Spring Update and FSD v14.3.3! Time to see if this version can correctly handle the left turn test.

@Blobifie New Glenn is pretty good at not exploding I think

LEO sats confirmed for NG-4. Happy Blue are getting back to flight with Amazon sats so we are not risking the lunar lander on the first attempt back after the 2nd stage issue. Based on NASA's statement this week the lander seems like it will be sometime after the start of September.

🚀 Launch Alert | New Glenn's fourth launch will send 48 @AmazonLeo satellites into low Earth orbit as part of their growing broadband constellation. More details to come soon.

@DirtyTesLa @Teslaoldguy What about when there are cars close behind you?
English

I don't expect a guy at the forefront of the world's hardest engineering problems to be up to date on all the latest X drama... but sometimes Tesla is really out of touch.

@MarioNawfal It will not cut battery costs in half, but it will significantly reduce the cost of battery cathode production
English

🇺🇸 Tesla quietly filed a patent that could cut battery production costs by nearly half.
The breakthrough is a new way to make battery cathodes without toxic liquid solvents, using a microscopic "spider web" structure that binds the materials together instead.
It also triples manufacturing speed and could shrink the physical footprint of battery factories by up to 50%.
It's not a lab experiment either. Gigafactory Texas is already mass-producing these cells for select Model Y vehicles, with Cybertruck, Cybercab, and Semi rollout expected through 2026 and 2027.
Battery cost is the last big barrier to affordable EVs. Tesla just moved the needle.

@CSI_Starbase @DrChrisCombs Doing big projects is never risk free. How many people died building the great wall of China?
English

Considering you exist primarily in the educational space you might be unaware of how common these types of incidents are in the "most dangerous professions on earth". Its not a "major problem" its a common statistic.
The amount of times I've almost died at work is crazy. And they don't allow us to post about it because people will over react to things that are actually common occurrences.
Literally every hazardous industry has problems with safety. Thats called Capitalism...it pays to cut corners. Safety standards do not work in the favor of investors until it reaches a point where insurance premiums start cutting into the bottom line. Thats what enterprise risk management is all about.
Thats not something exclusive to one company...this is simply an example of what "deregulation" looks like.
Thanks for attending my Ted Talk, professor.

Another really sad incident at Starbase
There appears to be a major problem with the safety culture
TheSpaceEngineer@mcrs987
The rumblings about a death at Starbase of an employee under a contractor last Friday morning appear to be true. 4:16AM, about 2 hours before the already claimed time, I spotted an ambulance w/ emergency lights. All the cranes working on the gigabay stopped work shortly before this time stamp and work did not occur for several hours afterwards

@B_doong2daddy Just curious, did you use FSD a lot and did Tesla insurance give you a discount for using it?
English

After 5 months with Tesla insurance,
I just switched over to Progressive
Before $280~$320/month,
Now $150/month
Better coverage and saving a lot more
I should have done this sooner
Bye bye Tesla insurance
But I still have separate Tesla windshield insurance and tire/wheel insurance.
I am debating if these are worth it to continue. Do any of you know if I can stop and start again?

@BoBbyPleWniaK @Dyer19Scott What is plug giving you? Maybe I can match them.
English

@Dyer19Scott Looks like plug is going to take it off my hands after I send the photos tomorrow. I’d this does not work for whatever reason, I can connect with you
