Hegseth doesn't understand that the essence of an alliance is that the members are all on the same side
NATO will work better without America because Trump is a Russian agent, acting against our side
Andriy Haydash@andriyhaydash
So if tomorrow let's say Finland will try to return the occupied Karelia, the US will be "willing to stand with them" in a war against RU, correct?

@the_jefferymead @HQNewsNow Way back in the 70s, my brother in law was an Air Force pilot based in Alaska. When we visited, he took us to the officers club for dinner one night and it was all you can eat king crab.
English

@HQNewsNow The $2 million on crab was for the troops. It’s part of routine food procurement for military.

These are the fruits of the Zombie Filibuster, highlighted in blue👇
The Senate’s unwavering devotion to the Zombie Filibuster—and to the light-duty legislative schedule it facilitates—is what’s hindering the progress of the SAVE America Act
Maintaining a light workweek for the convenience of senators isn’t a good reason not to do what it takes to pass a bill that 85% of Americans want
But make no mistake—that’s a big part of what we’re dealing with here
We don’t necessarily have to use the talking filibuster all of the time—or even most of the time—but we must be willing to use it when it’s necessary
With the SAVE America Act, it is very, very necessary

The New York Times Makes Sports Miserable
People love sports because it's an escape, which is why we don't force athletes to choose sides

@BlueBoxDave CCP must be really disappointed, after all the years they spent grooming this idiot

“Tim Walz will go down in history as little more than an avatar of White guilt — the weak, apologetic eunuch of a White guy that progressives would have our sons become. But today, our sons can clearly see that the real lesson is: ‘Don’t be that guy.’” foxnews.com/opinion/david-…

@noplaceforsheep To be followed by tightening the knife laws, vehicle barriers everywhere, etc

The comparison underscores risk vs. benefit. Medical errors cause ~250k-371k US deaths yearly (per Johns Hopkins and 2024 studies), far more than gun deaths (~41k in 2024, Gun Violence Archive). However, healthcare saves millions of lives overall, while guns lack equivalent net societal benefits. Regulation, not outright bans, is often debated for both.

@DefiyantlyFree All true about Biden however, when Kelly had nothing to say…
English

None of that is true. But not surprised the insurrectionist is also a liar.

Mark Kelly: “Jobs are down. Wages are flat. Costs are up and this President is asleep. Like literally, he’s falling asleep on the job. It’s hurting the American people. He’s doing nothing to try to help people with the cost of groceries, rent, and healthcare.”

@UrielEpshtein @ScottJenningsKY And he’d be wrong - what’s your point? Surely that big Yale brain can come up with something intelligent here…
English

@ScottJenningsKY Hm. I wonder what Mitt Romney himself would say… I’d be willing to bet he’d disagree with the point you’re trying to make..

@jaketapper You said that the J6 bomber was a white man, while his photo (a black man) was displayed! Care to explain?

A country isn’t “cruel” for having a border any more than a home is “hateful” for having a front door.
The ACTUALLY cruel thing is pretending limits don’t exist…until our parks, schools, hospitals, and paychecks are the ones that collapse under the weight.
I’m done with people calling common sense racism.
I’m done apologizing for wanting an America that feels like home again.
And if I’m really being honest…
…if “kindness” requires totally erasing the expectations that make a society work (law, respect, assimilation, accountability)
It. Isn’t. Kindness.
A nation that can’t say “no” can’t protect ANYTHING AT ALL.
Not its parks.
Not its schools.
Not its wages.
Not its culture.
Not its future.
So yeah, I think I’m finally getting it.
It isn’t racist to say… yeah America isn’t better when it’s crowded, more expensive, and we can’t talk to each other because you don’t speak my language.
That’s not better.
And I’m done pretending it’s ok.
It’s not ok.
