Iran has both a nuclear power program and a nuclear weapons program. For power, uranium need only be enriched to about 3%. We never had a problem with that. Highly enriched uranium, 60% or higher, is usable but not practical for weapons because it requires much more material to achieve critical mass. This in turn requires a much more robust delivery system. Weapons grade uranium is considered 90% or above. At this level, much smaller amounts of uranium can achieve critical mass and require delivery systems that are much easier to engineer. Iran held something like 400KG of 60% uranium in the form of uranium hexaflouride according to the IAEA. While achieving 3% to 60% enrichment requires months or even years depending on the scale and efficiency of the facility, enriching from 60% to 90% takes only another week or so. The Islamic Republic was holding this 60% enriched uranium while it finished designing, building and testing credible delivery systems. That is the step which was viewed as a threat. You should at least try to use some knowledge to discredit the President. This sort of post is doomed to backfire on you every time.
