I don’t get what Resident Evil fans are complaining about. We got 6 movies that were dumb fun, not great. A Netflix show most people skipped. And a reboot that stayed closer to the games, and still got hated. Now Zach Cregger is taking a different route. Not copying the games scene by scene. Not doing another loose adaptation. Something adjacent. Same universe. New story. It’s the same idea Telltale Games used with The Walking Dead. Original characters. Familiar world. And it worked because it respected the tone instead of repeating the plot. That approach makes sense here. You already know the story of Raccoon City. The characters. The beats. Doing it again does nothing. A new story inside that world has more room to breathe.

@JonathonRConnor @SceneinCinema Why do yall motherfuckers want the games remade as movies? Just go play the game? Or if you’re too lazy to, watch someone else play the game. Movie adaptations that are set in universe be give us something new to experience is so much more interesting in every conceivable way.

@SceneinCinema Oh, I dunno... Maybe the fact that it's been 30 years and we haven't gotten a single movie faithful to the games. Maybe that's it.

@SuperheroSmith @_sorrengailll @Apple Nope. I have literally never used focus or do not disturb and my iPhone does this shit randomly. There is something bugged in apples alarm clock that causes it to randomly only do alarms silently

@_sorrengailll @Apple They go off silently when an alarm is set to the same time a Focus changes. If Do Not Disturb and your alarm are both set to 7:00am, Do Not Disturb silences the alarm. Yes, it is flawed. I have likewise voiced this concern to Apple. No response, no fix.

@DJSnM I live 10 minutes south of downtown Cleveland. Sounded like someone crashed their car into my house. And then a sustained 20 second rumble that sounded like a street sweeper in my yard immediately outside my window. How to go outside to make sure something didn’t hit my house.

@mbwebbie @NWSPittsburgh Likely didn’t hit. The boom was it essentially detonating in atmosphere/creating a sonic boom on entry before it burnt up.
