I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games.
Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do.
It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼♀️

@kingmantory Leon was the first one we played as in the actual city itself. Jill was trying to survive, Leon was trying to stop it. I feel like they are BOTH great fits for a return to Racoon city

ngl I feel like this is the most an RE movie has been scrutinized before it even came out despite every movie attached to this IP being ass juice and this movie being in the hands of an actual director.

Resident Evil 7 was not a good Resident Evil game. It may have paid homage in some elements shared with a plethora of games in the genre, but it strays just as far from the original formula as Resident Evil 5 did🚀
In terms of characters and story, it was cringe and Resident Evil is ALWAYS better when it has heroes we know and love.
And also, no. It did not “save” Resident Evil, as RE6 is among the best selling games in the series and its RE2 (2019) that was the return to form, and would’ve happened anyway with or without RE7 and would’ve done just as great.
And trying to use this game as proof that Zach Cregger’s movie will be good, is laughable.

@koochiac @SceneinCinema This is such a stupid argument. It's a way to experience the games in a new way. It's a way more lore could be explored and you could see what's happening vs reading it. It would be fun to relive those moments in the games. You've got plenty of RE movies that are "new."

I don’t get what Resident Evil fans are complaining about.
We got 6 movies that were dumb fun, not great. A Netflix show most people skipped. And a reboot that stayed closer to the games, and still got hated.
Now Zach Cregger is taking a different route. Not copying the games scene by scene. Not doing another loose adaptation. Something adjacent. Same universe. New story.
It’s the same idea Telltale Games used with The Walking Dead.
Original characters. Familiar world. And it worked because it respected the tone instead of repeating the plot.
That approach makes sense here.
You already know the story of Raccoon City. The characters. The beats. Doing it again does nothing.
A new story inside that world has more room to breathe.

Today has shown just how clueless and brain dead alot of Resident Evil "fans" actually are. It's pathetic that there are people crying about there being snow in the new movie, or complaining about it being an original character and story instead of a 1:1 adaptation. (1/6)
