19% of US wants to own EVs. That's ~30 million cars. The current US EV fleet is ~1.7 million. Hard to believe they aren't aware of Tesla - likely waiting for the right price $TSLA

19% of Americans prefer to own an EV. There are ~84 million families in US. Assume 2 cars per family. That's ~160 million cars. Per this poll, current EV TAM is 160 x .19 = 30.4 million. Per Experian, there's 1.7m EVs in the US. At current demand, fleet can 18x from today $TSLA

I think Tesla is still far away from achieving Full Self Driving capability else Karpathy would not have left. He is one of the flag bearers of Deep Learning AI for last 10 years and he would not leave the job without reaching this milestone if it was in near distant future.
