@linmeitalks If working from home was more productive employers would jump on it, but studies have shown thats not the case. The workers that are at the office should get a 10% raise, and the ones sitting at home should get a 15% reduction as they are not paying gas, parking, daycare, etc

WORKING FROM HOME ARGUMENT I honestly can’t see the justification for making people return to the office if you are not customer facing/ front line staff You want people to pay excessive amounts on travel, waste hours travelling for what ? To sit next to you while you say 4 words all day. For those who don’t do their work, monitor them and tell them they have to attend the office 4 days a week for a PIP and you’ll see how quickly they’ll improve…. but if someone’s is hitting targets and doing their work, while making it easier to be a better mother or father or carer to elderly parents, by being present doing the school run, attending after school activities on time and getting a home cooked meal prepared for their family why stop that ??

and guess what? they then went on to not only update the fic, but to completely finish it, and they let me know that it was my one silly comment 5 years after they gave up that gave them the motivation to pick the work back up

y'all hate ongoing fics so bad but dont realize that your support and love is what makes those authors keep going lol when I was 14 I read a fic that hadnt been updated for 5 years & no one was reading and interacting w anymore & still commented letting the author know I loved it

It’s set in 2021, so that's something I have to keep remembering. But yeah, it's their first season playing together on the same team. They're married. Everybody knows about their relationship. There's so many things that are brand new for them. So where The Long Game, it seemed like a big happy ending for them. But as I kept thinking about it, in the years since it came out, it's really the start of a whole new, kind of weird era of their life that is totally brand new for them. And it isn't going to be totally smooth. So yeah, we're going to see them together a lot instead of grabbing time here and there. There's going to be some bad luck--not everybody loves that two hockey players are married together on the same team. But some people really love it. And I think we're going to see a lot of support for them, but also a lot of the other stuff. Yeah, I don't know, I think it's going to be fun.
