On 05.05.2026, acting on credible source information, a team of ARS, DD, Kolkata Police apprehended one accused, Md. Erfat (33), S/o Late Md. Samad, resident of Topsia Road South, under Topsia PS. He was intercepted near PC Connector, Topsia Road South at around 22:35 hrs. During the search, one country-made single-shot firearm along with four live cartridges was recovered from his possession. A case under sections 25(1)(a)/29 of the Arms Act has been registered at Topsia Police Station. Further legal action is underway.
