The video gave a solid implementation-level understanding of how CUDA works. I’d still recommend doing some prior reading on kernels and related concepts, since it makes the video much easier to follow. I’ve been using my CUDA knowledge to contribute to OSS projects focused on efficiency and HPC.

Hot take: Public companies and startups shouldn’t be acquiring foundational infra tools. These aren’t just products, they’re shared dependencies for the whole ecosystem. Once too much of that layer gets consolidated, everyone builds on the same fragile base and the whole market becomes capable of breaking together.
