I welcomed Prime Minister @narendramodi to Abu Dhabi for talks aimed at further strengthening the deeply rooted ties between our nations and peoples. The UAE and India share a longstanding strategic and economic partnership, and our discussions today focused on ways to advance cooperation in priority sectors including energy and technology. Together, we remain committed to driving lasting progress for our countries and promoting peace and stability throughout the region and the world.

Strongly condemn the attacks on the UAE that resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals. Targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable. India stands in firm solidarity with the UAE and reiterates its support for the peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is vital for enduring regional peace, stability and global energy security.

UAE air defence systems successfully intercepted more Iranian mssiles, drones The Ministry of Defence announced that UAE air defence systems intercepted and destroyed a new wave of Iranian missiles and drones launched towards the country. It noted that the operation was carried out with high efficiency and with limited material damage. The Ministry affirmed its full readiness and preparedness to deal with any threats, stressing that all necessary measures are being taken to firmly confront any attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability. It emphasised that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority that can't be compromised. The Ministry also stated that missiles were intercepted by the UAE Air Defence system, and debris have fallen on several areas in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. No injuries have been reported. The Ministry stressed that the targeting constitutes a blatant violation of national sovereignty and International Law, affirming the UAE’s full right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and people, and to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability. So imagine you are trying to add a Payee into your hdfc netbanking website. you are midway typing a long account number and if that text box loses focus or you switch to another window the value in the box resets. Some genius at that bank has decided that they will personally ensure people can’t copy paste, or use their website if you cannot remember a long account number. twice. After all why should you be able use their bank if you are stupid. Anyway I am now going to use a pair of nose pliers to pull each of my toe nails. It is light entertainment compared to what hdfc bank subjects me to every time I try to get anything done.

The only intelligent way to think about markets is in terms of valuations. Everything else in popular discourse - levels, trends, targets - is a dangerous distraction from the fact that starting valuations are the prime driver of long run returns.

Savvy investors take broker targets with a pinch of salt because they are almost always 10-20% higher than whatever the current price is. But, current state of affairs is so maniacal that 2/3rd of the stocks with market cap>$5bn are trading above broker target - a very rare case
