President Trump has initiated the dismantling of the US Department of education, signing an executive order to close it and return control to States. Led by Secretary Linda McMahon, the administration has halved the agency's workforce, slashed research funding, and proposed moving student loans management to other agencies. President Trump does not care about the future of American children with their education PERIOD!!!

Easy to explain. Today a kid working at McDonalds needs to make 10,000.00 a week to equal the purchasing power that a boomer had on 1971. Think about hard about this as that is $520k annually Generally speaking the boomer generation was selfish. They destroyed the dollar by stealing from future generations and protected that greed with unnecessary regulation’s to create obstacles for entry into the same finical growth they experienced. As parents they created a whole generation of Gen-x latchkey kids. They refuse to leave Congress and are drunk on the power to create legislation they will never have to live under. Etc..

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.

Honestly, most of us had zero ‘generational wealth’. I worked my way through Nursing school and took out loans I didn’t get paid off until I was in my 60s. Couldn’t afford to own a home when interest rates were 14-18%, finally bought my first home at age 50. STILL have never bought a ‘new’ car… I’ve no complaint, but I AM puzzled where this idea we were handed anything more than good values and a work ethic.
