Nursing pay has been cut by 20% in the last ten years.
Vacancies are at an all time high, almost 50,000 in England alone.
Workload is up almost 30%.
Is it any wonder nurses are burnt out and leaving?
This is a direct result of govt policy.

💬 “Helping mothers care for small or late preterm babies on TCU can prevent Neonatal Unit admission and therefore avoid the separation of mother and baby. TCUs reduce length of stay and re-admissions”
~ Frances O’Brien, Consultant Neonatologist
A new unit allowing mothers to be with their babies, who need extra care after birth, has opened at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) was launched by staff from our Maternity and Neonatal teams on Monday 21 August.

@IanMarsdenGB@toddles23@Tanni_GT@EDFaccess I have also been in this situ although not through disability but my daughter’s broken leg.The assistance at Schiphol was superb but on arrival at UK we were left sat on the plane, new flightcrew. This is NOT OK for those that need this always - that is not equity. Do better UK
My husband who uses a wheelchair has been waiting for assistance to get off his plane at #Gatwick for over hour. Apparently there is no ambilift available the ground staff have left, #DisabilityTwitter@EDFaccess
@trishgreenhalgh Seems so at odds with my experience with BF my children publicly in 1998- 2007 … has the world become more discriminatory to breast feeding. I remember the whole “ you wouldn’t eat your supper in the toilet “ being relevant then. Just so sad this is still an issue

"There are more deaths from Necrotising Enterocolitis and Sepsis in preterm babies than from all the deaths from all childhood cancers combined"
