My new @townhallcom VIP column takes on gratuitous gratuities! “The proliferation of promiscuous tipping is indicative of a bunch of the problems currently at play in America. What is promiscuous tipping? Pretty much anything except giving a cabbie or a waitress 15 percent on top of the bill for decent service. Or throwing a few bucks to a bellboy when he brings up your bags. Or an extra $20 when the delivery guys who aren’t supposed to carry things upstairs help you out by carrying your furniture or whatever up the stairs. Look, tipping is a good thing when used properly. It rewards good service. It provides an incentive for quality. And it’s also a way to help somebody who’s working hard. So, I’m not against tipping — not at all. I’m against tipping abuse…” We Have Reached a Tipping Point for Tips townhall.com/columnists/kur…

As someone who went to public school, all my childhood whenever someone mentioned “homeschooling” it was immediately derided as producing maladjusted weirdos who were under socialized. The well known academic superiority of homeschools was always met with cope about how it’s because “public school starts too early” and other excuses. But now the evidence is irrefutable, public schools across America produce subliterate adults AT BEST and illiterate undesirables at worst. The kid doesn’t have a “superiority complex” they can just do the bare minimum of what should be expected at that age and schooling. What’s more ridiculous is the fact that this mother would post these letters to social media in the first place

As a public school family that regularly hangs out with homeschool families, I can confirm. Homeschooled children tend to carry a superiority complex about their parent's schooling choices and to be extremely judgmental toward children who attend public school. 1/3

Witness the absolute absurdity of the liberal media response to my new series, Worst of the Worst, District Judges. Legitimate fact based critiques of judges and their rulings is fair game in a free society. Also, the media has no issue with it if the judge is conservative.

Running for the exits when things get difficult, then coming back as they start to improve only to betray the friends you left behind to take on the fight in your absence. They call this the Benedict Arnold Option.

That’s where you’ve got it wrong. There’s no one more important than the voter. Congressman Duarte (R-CA) lost by 187 votes. Congresswoman Michelle Steel (R-CA) lost by 653 votes. We would have a stronger majority in the House if we secured our elections. The base demands the SAVE America Act. I am in my lane every time I advocate on the voters’ behalf.

I know I’m going to get a lot of complaints for people, but I had two houses in the last couple years suffer pretty massive water damage. Instead of just replacing the damaged hardwood, I tore out all the hardwood on both floors in each, put in manufactured wood, and it’s incredible. It’s so nice. I like hardwood. I love manufactured wood. It’s a pleasure to walk on. And it’s vastly superior to hardwood because you can’t damage it and it’s so easy in maintaining. This is not open to debate.

@KurtSchlichter What I read is, After my deductible was applied, the only option was manufactured wood.

@ErinRei55993636 That was another reason. Both houses have very high humidity and Hardwood react badly to it.

@KurtSchlichter I need to replace the awful carpet in my beach home. I have been reading that engineered hardwood stands up to humidity, but I still worry. Would you use it in a coastal area?
