When I was a lawyer at Gibson Dunn in D.C., we took our summer associates to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. A survivor spoke to us and said something that stuck with me: Lawyers need to know the holocaust did not begin with camps. It began when Jews were removed from institutions - above all, legal institutions. Judges stripped of their robes. Lawyers disbarred. Then, when law-groups were Judenrein, they codified laws that made discrimination systematic and "legal." First, you remove the Jews from the institutions. Then, Jews can be discriminated against without representation. On Monday, Mayor Mamdani announced his 18-member Advisory Committee on the Judiciary. The Committee was promised to be "truly reflective of New York City." Not one of the 18 is Jewish. Not one Jewish attorney, former judge, or law professor - in a city where one in eight residents is Jewish and even Justice John Leventhal, recommended by the State's Chief Judge, was rejected. It is estimated that over 50% of the New York bar is Jewish. That means there is a 0.0004% chance of no Jews being selected to the Committee. Mamdani’s marginalization of Jews has been ongoing, and few voices on the Left have spoken up. On Day 1, Mamdani revoked the IHRA antisemitism definition (top priority); he changed the NYPD guidance protecting houses of worship, eliminated Jews from the City's immigrant-heritage map, called for the arrest of the prime minister of the only Jewish state, and now created a Judenrein Judiciary Committee. My grandmother, Leah, survived Nazi Germany. Before the laws, before the violence, she told me how she was pushed out of her high school groups. Then, once excluded from all activities, she was bullied and marginalized. We are already seeing Step 2 in NYC. Two weeks ago, on a Jewish Holiday, two men were stabbed outside Upper West Side synagogues - one wearing a kippah- and yesterday, Jewish students were attacked. Every 26 hours, there is a hate crime against Jews in NYC. In NYC, there is a concerted effort to disappear Jews from public life and leadership. No one on the Left is speaking out. If this discrimination was happening to any other group, the chorus would be deafening. To be clear, Jews will find a way. Many are already taking their talents elsewhere. When white-shoe firms shut Jewish lawyers out, they built firms that now dominate. Cardozo, Louis Marshall, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg all found a way despite discrimination. But NYC will be worse off without us. A city government that is judenrein - cleansed of Jews – does not just hurt the Jews, but hurts the city. The tragedy is not just that Jews were left out of the institutions. It is that the institutions were left without the Jews. If you see this and have not yet spoken out, I encourage you to do so.

If your girl stopped doing her part, would you notice? Turns out, a test was performed with 30 clients to find out. Here are the findings: A counselor asked 30 of her female clients to stop doing the “invisible” housework. No replacing toilet paper rolls. No washing dishes. No scheduling play dates for the kids. This lasted 9 days before the experiment had to stop. Day 1: No obvious changes. The husbands didn’t notice, and the home was in order. Day 2: Basic things started to feel off. The toilet paper holder was empty. The crumbs on the floor from yesterday evening's dinner? Still there. A few husbands started noticing, but nothing worth bringing up. Day 3: Things started getting more serious. Calls from school asking why nobody showed up to parent-teacher interviews. The laundry basket was overflowing. The first arguments started. Day 7: By the 7th day, here’s what happened between the 30 families. Multiple households missed at least 1 appointment. The kids wore the same clothes several days in a row. A few husbands were asking about items they’ve never tracked before. Day 9: This is when many husbands spoke up. “Why didn’t you just say I needed to help out?” They weren’t being hostile, just asking a genuine question. These men didn’t realize this work was even happening. They couldn’t miss what they couldn’t see. What the women learned from this experience wasn’t recognition. They already knew they weren’t being acknowledged for their work. It was that awareness is the first step to solving this problem, not the solution. Thanks to this newfound awareness, a new dialogue between husband and wife opened. Couples could now communicate with each other regarding who does what. Because for the first time, everyone was aware of each other's responsibilities. Men are simple creatures. And I don’t mean that in a negative way. It’s what makes them different from women. We’re complementary opposites, after all. But showing men, not telling them, is a much more effective way to create awareness and spark real change in the home.

This takes me back to Del Rio, TX in 2021 w/ the Haitian surge. Similar images. This is what the DSA/socialist platform looks like in practice - in another country. No borders. No immigration enforcement. Complete freedom of movement without any resistance from the government.

President Donald Trump told the White House Correspondents' Dinner that Somali American Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) should "get the hell out of our country," calling her "low-IQ." Omar responded on X: "The idiot who runs our country... doesn't have the courage or evidence to come after me. Trump is the one who needs to get the hell out of our country because he is destroying it and making us the laughing stock of the world."

Okay, this is part of Fifth Amendment law that is not as well known. A person who has received a pardon cannot invoke the Fifth for testimony about events involved in the pardon since there is no danger of self incrimination.

Mexican American makes a very good point He says he’s notices a very obvious loophole in the Democrat narrative “I don't get how these Democrats say that Republicans and ICE want all the Mexicans out. When you watch these videos of ICE detaining an illegal immigrant that's Mexican — Why don't they grab 50 to 100 people that are Mexicans standing around recording? I'll tell you why. Because they're not hunting down all Mexicans. They're not trying to get rid of all the Mexicans” He makes the very good point that all of these viral videos of ICE detaining people are always in massive crowds. There are hundreds of Mexicans standing around filming So very logically if ICE and Donald Trump were just rounding up Mexicans they would grab everyone, but they don’t. They don’t because ICE is only looking for criminals first and illegals

“Reacher” has a large contingency of Conservatives who watch his show. I’ll be curious to see if they stick with him after he’s attacked them and what they stand for.
Kevin Sorbo@ksorbs

Alan Ritchson has decided the best use of his time is to attack Trump, and to throw a few jabs in at Catholics for some reason😂 You’d think he’d be smart enough to keep his mouth shut because fans of Reacher happen to also be right-wing. But nope.
