@ostonox @_iamblakeley Yeah hardest thing for me to completely do without is eggs (though free range and organic and cage free options are at least available) and butter (goat butter preferred) Creams of various sorts only for when I’m making desserts… basque cheesecake or tiramisu.

I was vegan for 6 months and it was incredibly difficult. Many people would be surprised at just how many products have dairy that you wouldn’t think. I admire ppl who are willing and able to put that amount of work, effort, time and money into being vegan. I think factory farming is horrifying and I wish we could all agree meat eater or not, that this system is grotesque and work to change it. Unfortunately, the conversation seems to always be around meat eating vs. vegan alone without a discussion of raising/farming animals ethically which might be a good place to start bc most ppl don’t want to stop eating animal products (right now) but I bet most would agree in the rare instances we see into factory farms that it’s deplorable and there must be a better way.
