So if we combine that with the 20% from Hormuz, we’re potentially looking at a 30% disruption in global supply. That would likely trigger the largest energy crisis in modern economic history—surpassing both the 1973 oil crisis and the crisis following the 1979 Iranian Revolution. While the Houthis are stepping in, Iran’s attacks targeting Gulf countries are also continuing on another front.
