For we who study/teach/advocate/carry out justice: Housing is justice. Our “social contract” says if I follow the rules (limit my freedom, pay my "debts"), I get basic security. Housing insecurity is a breach of that contract. Society, we’ve got work to do.

“On Juneteenth, we recommit ourselves to the work of equity, equality, and justice.” Yesterday and today, I recommit to advance a fuller/truer worldview, without arbitrary exclusions/irrational -isms. Black experience = human experience, equally rich with insights for us all.
