I disagree... I've heard this from many former females in mixed units that they realized them being "outside the wire" out the team in danger because the men in the unite were being men and protecting the women instead of doing the mission.
It won't work.
Men need to focus. Not be protective.

New to MilX? You missed the A-10 funding war, think tank establishment vs. “stubborn” warplane supporters. It was epic.
I stayed mostly out, just suggested giving them to the Merchant Marine to protect ships.
