Tbh, I unfortunately think thorchads are in some sort of post-traumatic state of manic optimism. It's very far from "good" or "solved." It's objectively horrible for every user who put their trust in this system.

Thorchain lending feature was a community decision, which the community later rescinded. Anyone can close their loans without issue. The DEX is operating fine Everything open-source and permissionless As loans are closed, RUNE is minted, but RUNE was burned when the loans opened. Max supply of 500m RUNE cannot be breached in any case.
