He says, ‘Hey there, you’re that fella that made Lord Of The Rings aren’t you? Lord Of The Rings that was great man, that was a fantastic film’. I said ‘Yeah, oh thanks’, and he turns back to the van, then he stops and he says: ‘Oh they should have got you to make those Hobbit movies, because they were crap’.” Explaining how he addressed the mistake, he concluded: “I just wait, and I just roll my eyes and say ‘Yeah, tell me about it, mate’”. So, do you think the delivery driver was right? 😅

Sometimes I think about the guy in the unicorn suit. Where is he now? What is he doing with his life? Does he have a family? Does his wife know? Do his kids know? Does he still have the suit or did he sell it? Was selling it harder than he expected? Did he cry a little? Did he buy it back? I want a 6-part Netflix documentary. I need to hear his origin story. I need to know what he was thinking in the exact moment before he put it on. I need a therapist on camera explaining what it means. I need his third grade teacher saying "honestly, looking back, the signs were there."

I try to keep the focus mostly on climbing. One of the things I love about climbing is the way it brings together people from different backgrounds. Something the world needs more of imo. Most communities sort people by background. Climbing sorts people by who's willing to fail in front of strangers.

Not because of what she said, but because Lucasfilm "changed the canon" and threw her work in the dumpster, only to put a bastardized version on the screen. They did it to Timothy Zahn, too. I'm really starting to dislike Dave Filoni.

Disney's greatest modern achievement is making star wars fans like me completely apathetic I've read over 150 novels, played 20+ video games, thousands of comics, seen the movies probably 50 times each I dont know or care when the grogu movie comes out. I won't be watching it.
