La mayoría de las personas cree que cuando escucha que “la inflación ya bajó”, significa que los precios volverán a ser como antes. Eso nunca sucede. Cuando Banxico informa que la inflación es de 3.37%, no está diciendo que las cosas sean más baratas. Está diciendo que los precios siguen subiendo, pero a un ritmo menor. Por eso, dejar el dinero inmóvil durante muchos años casi garantiza que perderá poder de compra. La preparación financiera no consiste en adivinar qué hará Banxico en su siguiente decisión de política monetaria. Consiste en aceptar una realidad: el efectivo pierde valor con el paso del tiempo. Eso nos obliga a desarrollar mejores hábitos financieros: ahorrar con un propósito, invertir en activos productivos, aumentar nuestra capacidad para generar ingresos y proteger nuestro patrimonio. Bitcoin propone un enfoque distinto. A diferencia de las monedas emitidas por los bancos centrales, su oferta máxima está limitada a 21 millones de unidades. Nadie puede decidir crear más. Esa escasez programada es una de las razones por las que muchas personas lo consideran una posible reserva de valor a largo plazo. Sin embargo, eso no significa que su precio esté garantizado ni que deba sustituir automáticamente a otros activos. Sigue siendo un activo con una alta volatilidad y riesgos importantes. La enseñanza para un ciudadano mexicano no es poner todo su dinero en Bitcoin. La verdadera lección es comprender cómo funciona el dinero y entender que proteger el patrimonio requiere ahorrar, invertir y no depender únicamente de una moneda que, por diseño, pierde poder adquisitivo con el paso del tiempo.

Career update: This is my last month contributing to the @ethereumfndn. My time at the EF was full of great adventures. I was fortunate to work on a key part of the ecosystem: supporting founders. We helped tens of startups get funded, launched programs I'm proud of, and backed builders through all sorts of initiatives. Ethereum is a net good for the world. At a time when censorship and surveillance are at an all time high, it matters more than ever. Thank you to the ethereum community for the feedback and support that made these programs better.
