@JakeCrain_ @On3 @RossDellenger The problem for CFB is that, among all sports, it relies most heavily on the tradition and integrity of the uniqueness of the game, and passion from its fans. Otherwise, it's just minor-league baseball. And we all know what a cash-cow that is. 🙄

No hyperbole... it may actually cause me to check out of college football.
I've said goodbye to a number of hobbies over the last ~5-10 years when the people who run them demonstrated that they don't actually care about the integrity of the product, but only about how much $$ they can make off of it.
Others may not care, and the product may go on, even grow. But it'll be dead to me. And I'll grieve it.
This happened to me with the NFL. Once you see, you can't unsee. This kind of disregard for anything but money steals my passion away, and I just can't be bothered to care afterward.

I’m sure it will shock you to learn those figures aren’t anywhere close to the truth.
But there’s a much bigger story beyond Candace’s "mistaken" reporting.
The story is how lying has become the default operating system for huge swaths of both legacy media and the new online right. The Grift Industrial Complex rewards speed, sensationalism, and telling the audience exactly what it wants to hear over anything resembling journalistic standards, due diligence, or basic honesty.
I know this world because I helped build part of it. We broke past the old gatekeepers for good reason. The old gatekeepers broke all of their own standards.
But too few in new media even have standards to break.
They say bad money drives out good.
It turns out bad journalism does too.

This is Judge Zia Faruqui, the judge who just apologized to Trump's attempted assassin Cole Allen for the way police restrained him.
Just last year, this same judge dismissed the case against Edward Alexander Dana, who threatened to kill President Trump.
