Breaking: Today's mass arrests of peaceful protesters in Trafalgar Square under UK terrorism law are yet another blow to civil liberties in this country - and made all the more outrageous by the Metropolitan Police's own U-turn. The High Court ruled in February that the proscription of Palestine Action was unlawful. The Met rightly said it would stop making arrests. It has now gone back to its old, failed policy - mass arrests of people holding pieces of card, including today an elderly woman with walking sticks. This is not policing. This is the state criminalising dissent. Take action now with thousands of other Amnesty International supporters and sign the petition to end all prosecutions against these peaceful protesters. amn.st/6015B60qQv

Having major drama with Gabby scratching incessantly ☹️ I’ve tried everything. Oat baths. Coconut oil. Kawakawa soaks. Peppermint oil. ACV. Baking soda—etc I got so concerned I took her to the vet lest it was fleas .. or something serious. THAT was an experience - the vet instantly went to “steroids, antihistamines and a miracle cure kibble” (that they just happen to stock) 🤔 Not even 1 question asked about her diet or habits. Me, I was wondering if it could be something in the river water - cos we’re in it every day for an hour?! Or if there was some food allergy?! And oh my god how do I work THAT out? Cos in any given week she can be eating beef tongues, lamb kidneys, chicken hearts, maringa laced probiotic milk, bone broth, salmon omelette etc 😵‍💫 Finally I had this idea to put her solely on chicken as she tends to like it the most. She’s SO not food driven. Often won’t eat breakfast. (She is only just heavy enough for her age) But she just sniffs it and eats it around 3pm. I can relate. I don’t like eating first thing either. Anyway my theory was after 3 weeks if she hasn’t improved on JUST chicken I do the same with beef and so on. Went off to buy a ton of chicken yesterday - all sold out 🤦‍♀️ I grabbed a possyum roll just in case and to my surprise—she absolutely hoovered it down. Including for breakfast today!? So I’m stumped. Do I switch her to that and eliminate ALL the previous foods?! Rather than my original idea of starting with one of our exisiting meats? Anyway else some elimination diets with pets before? 🙄🤦‍♀️

The current Bot-Generated tsunami of online hate toward Jacinda Ardern is just the Cookers desperate attempts to rewrite the history of a stunningly successful Leftie Government. From an Empathy Led Tragedy to a World-Leading Managed Pandemic, added to Economic Genius by Grant

We're about to get another reminder that NZ farmers set their prices based on the global market, not on what Kiwis can afford. But we can't blame them - they're just another cog in a ruthless economic system that fails to effectively distribute resources to those who need them.

@Liquid_Times All these idiot rich worshipping right wingers I see in the comments. How dare New Zealanders demand food they can actually afford! What the fk is the point of working if we still can't afford the fucking basics. If people cant eat they get desperate.

The Government is considering a potential mining deal with the United States. Those for it argue — the investment could boost jobs, strengthen the economy, provide needed resources and deepen ties with a key ally. Those against it argue — the environmental risks may be too high, and the benefits may not outweigh the long-term costs to New Zealand. What would you argue?

I don’t pretend to be the most educated in this sector, however there has to be some accountability here @cjsbishop, @SimeonBrownMP. Please make sure you’re laser focused on these fuel prices in the coming weeks. For example, fuel prices should be sharply dropping? They are not

Jacinda Ardern was a national mistake. Not because of branding. Not because of feelings. Because of results. Under Ardern, net core Crown debt blew out from $83 billion in June 2020 to $175.5 billion by June 2024. That is an increase of roughly $92.5 billion. Debt as a share of GDP went from 27 percent to 42.5 percent. That is not responsible government. That is setting fire to the country’s balance sheet. Housing was a disaster. By 2024, the national median house price was still 9.2 times median household income. Then after the mania, national home values finished 2025 still 17.6 percent below the early 2022 peak. So under her watch, young New Zealanders got hit both ways. First with insane prices. Then with falling values. She lifted the top tax rate to 39 percent. And what did New Zealand get in return? GDP per capita fell 2.7 percent in the year to June 2024. OECD data shows New Zealand’s labour productivity growth over the past decade was just 0.5 percent a year, below the OECD regional average of 0.9 percent. Higher tax. Weak productivity. Falling prosperity. That is not progress. That is managed decline. Then there is the mentality. “We will continue to be your single source of truth.” That is one of the most arrogant and authoritarian statements ever made by a New Zealand Prime Minister. And when the country later had a chance to publicly examine key Covid era decisions, Ardern declined to appear at the 2025 public hearing and instead relied on private interviews. So much for transparency. And let’s not forget how she got power in the first place. In 2017 Labour won 36.9 percent of the vote. National won 44.4 percent. Yes, MMP allows coalitions. But if you take office without winning the most votes, you had better deliver exceptional results. She did the opposite. Then when the damage was done, she resigned, went overseas, and is now basing herself in Australia. That is the final insult. New Zealand got the debt. New Zealand got the housing damage. New Zealand got the lost productivity. New Zealand got the division. She got the exit. Jacinda Ardern left New Zealand weaker, poorer, more indebted, less affordable, and more divided than she found it. That is her real legacy. And it must never be repeated.

So the Green parties latest economic whiz of an idea is to; 1. Cap rent increases to 2% per year. So when the economy is screwed and interest rates double, landlords suck up the losses 😊 2. “A home for everybody” Kiwibuild 2.0 and will be as successful 🤪 3. Add a cost to landlords with a WOF on rentals. We all know costs won’t get passed down to tenants 🙃 4. Scrap no cause evictions. Because gang members need homes to wreck too 🥳

We know that the conflict in the Middle East is adding pressure to hardworking New Zealanders. We are delivering temporary, timely support that is targeted to low-to-middle income working families with children. It is a $50 per week boost for eligible households (those earning up to $89,000 for a family with one child, $112,000 for a family with two children, and $135,000 with three). It's temporary support from the start of April for 12 months, or until the price of 91 drops below $3 a litre for four consecutive weeks. We cannot control global oil markets or international conflicts. And we also can’t risk repeating Covid mistakes, where too much spending more than doubled debt and pushed inflation and mortgage rates too high. Kiwis are still grappling with the effects of that today. But we can get the balance right - softening the impact on working families who cannot easily avoid higher fuel costs in a responsible and well-targeted way.

🥴Luxon calls Trump racist He obviously watched Goff on Q +A yesterday and is now taking his advice. P.S NZ officials are in the US right now trying to negotiate a minerals deal after Oz got their 8.5 BILLION deal across the line. Te Gimp strikes again!
Holyhekatuiteka@2ETEKA

🚩Wholly shit - Trump just roasted Australian Ambassador to the US & Former PM Kevin Rudd after an Aussie Journo asked Trump what opinion he had on the lunatic leftist Albanese Govt and the bad things Rudd has said about him… Trump : “I don’t know who that is? Is he still working in that position?” (Kevin Rudd who was in the room) : “WelI said that before I was in this position” Trump : “ I don’t like you and I probably never will” 😂😂😂😂 Rudd like our two home grown dopes Luxon and Seymour has extreme TDS… As I’ve said for the past three years - well before Trump was re-elected both Seymour and Luxon are total fools for running their mouths and exposing their little pea brains. This is why Winston Peters (who warned all NZ Politicians about attacking the president of our second largest trading partner and most powerful person in the world) alone should be the only NZ Politician to meet with Trump for our countries sake. Trump went easy on Albanese, as he has struck a rare earths deal with Oz worth BILLIONS - it’s the mad race for dominance between the US and China over the pacific. China currently controls 90% of rare earth supplies chains in the world and 60% of production, AUKUS is back on. Things are going to get heated in our corner of the world .. thank our lucky stars we have Winston Peters, left to those boobs Luxon and Seymour Hipkins et al … we’d be in a sticky position. Watch :
