@lady_bourg @outbreakupdates There are a lot of studies being done, and HPV is pretty easy to rule in or out. Because of the HPV vaccine, cases of HPV are declining fast and it's starting to vanish in some cities. I'm not feeling this one. I suspect it's a chemical.

@lady_bourg @outbreakupdates It's now simple to get genetics from a cancer sample. If it was caused by HPV they would know about it. I think it's exposure to something by an odd path- like a herbicide or pesticide used on tobacco for example. Something made about 10-20 years ago. It tracks with tobacco use.

I’ve taught myself to like underarm hair on women now (after being conditioned by society to things it’s gross). But I can’t overcome the feeling those around me would look at me like it’s gross if they could see it 😞

@OliverJia1014 No. There were always bullies and assholes around. It was just harder for some people to show their dark side when they had to do it face-to-face.

Question for those alive during pre-internet or nascent internet days. Were people actually kinder to each other overall before social media? I've always wondered if that was actually the case or just rose-tinted nostalgia talking considering how every era has social problems.
