The Brief
The Brief@TheBriefLive·
Construction of a new luxury hotel development, The Admiral, has officially commenced along The Esplanade in Walvis Bay, marking a further expansion of Namibia’s high-end coastal hospitality offering. The 24-room hotel, which forms part of the Gondwana Collection Namibia portfolio, is scheduled to open in December 2027 and is expected to strengthen the group’s presence along the coast. Located overlooking the Flamingo Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, the development is positioned within close proximity to the harbour, Walvis Bay International Airport and key tourism attractions, including Sandwich Harbour. The project has been designed by Namibian architect Conrad Scheffer, with a concept inspired by the lines and design of luxury yachts. The building will incorporate a wind-adaptive façade suited to coastal conditions, while maximising ocean-facing views. thebrief.com.na/2026/04/gondwa… #namibia #tourism #luxuryhotel #hospitalityindustry #development #namibiatourism @NIPDB @Tourism_Board @MinistryofEnvi2 @WalvisbayMun @GondwanaLodges

@gwaShuuya_4th @thee_serim As a person that took in a couple of kids my self i’ve learned not to expect anything. Some parents don’t even call u. Also not to mention that some kids are going through their unruly stage so yoh but those that put in the effort and behaving , make it easy to assist.

@thee_serim Learned this hard lesson from my late mom. She took care of so many people throughout her life. There was almost always someone in our house even after we had all moved out. Most of those folks never even checked in, no calls or texts, nothing. I’ll help, but from a distance.

"We can see the Moon out of the docking hatch right now. It's a beautiful sight." Flight day 3 is in the books, and our @NASAArtemis II crew is now closer to the Moon than to Earth. Check out highlights from our lunar mission. What’s been your favorite moment so far?
