@bunnbird There is so much misinformation about them that even the “correct” care tips everyone shares to combat incorrect ones with good intentions are also…. incorrect lol. Urging rabbit people to learn new information, not list outdated studies and to list reputable sources 🙂‍↕️

@bunnbird They are one of the most misinformation prone animals out there, and half of the care tips people spread have been debunked by newer studies as the old ones are outdated and abused them for results 😅 There is constantly new information about their care and everyone ignores it

everyone Like rabbits but more people need to actively learn about them. did you know they are more or less The most frequently neglected + abandoned pet because nobody actually knows how to take care of them

@Ranchuell This is such a silly question but do Boer people ever use things for hair growth on their tails like we do for leg wool? Having enough minerals always keep mine’s tails super nice, but one of them looks silly as her tail isn’t very bushy at the end and has never grown longer

I love my goats but ohh if I had the time to show sheep again I would.. it was hard going from one animal with gorgeous leg wool that had to be worked daily to another where everything gets shaved off </3 I miss fitting them

@orcatstra I have pushed her tongue back in before just to see what happens and she immediately stuck it back out she knows what she’s doing and is evil

Whenever she escapes her pen and I have to put her back she sticks her tongue out the whole way to make me feel bad

If it gets to the point the other goats are a genuine danger to the pregnancy I always separate them, they can usually handle roughhousing but ofnjh it makes me so nervous… be kind to the Alyxlings

I have been so careful when handling Alyx as I’m scared of hurting her babies, just to watch her run into walls or be full-force headbutt in the stomach by her herdmates

God ignore the bald spot on all of their necks, when we did their health tests I drew from their jugular vein, I much prefer doing their femoral vein though

@shakedawgshake @PsyncinIn @our_jesse The person you're replying to sounds uneducated but isn't "adopt don't shop" a positive movement? I adopted two guinea pigs because companies like PetCo often sex their pigs wrong or their pigs have diseases/are pregnant from coming from the mills they were bought at.

@Wund3rBark There are fates worse than death, and having no choice but to rot in a small concrete kennel for more than half of their life is one of those. My dog still suffers kennel aggression due to it and we have worked so hard to work most of it out of him.

My least popular opinion is that I support shelters that euthanize animals who have been there too long- It’s human selfishness to think it’s kind to keep these hyper intelligent animals in tiny pens for 5+ years or more So many animals go absolutely crazy
