Pre-Google but post-Steve Jobs Return at Apple. Pierce Brosnan was James Bond. George Lucas was writing Star Wars scripts. Fox owned the Dodgers and Disney owned the Angels. Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place were on TV at the same time. George W. Bush was governor of Texas. That was peak California. George W. Bush was governor of Texas and Jeb was governor of Florida. Hughes Satellite was still a California company. Multiple defense companies made passenger and fighter jets in California. Peak California was, of course, Orange County still being a Republican power center. No Doubt and Rage Against the Machine being legitimately transgressive. Sublime. The Capitol Records building being a destination. It’s all gone now. It’s a distant memory. Peak California was Swingers, the movie. Literally the movie. Bunch of rando white pseudo-jocks with no real connections making a buddy comedy about living in the non-westside of Los Angeles and driving to Vegas to lose it all and then come back to drive around in their own sad sedans. Peak California. Probably sold a 100 million DVDs at Walmart. Never coming back.

What are you willing to give up to become who God made you to be? God has a version of you that is so much greater than the one fear and comfort have kept you from becoming. But getting there requires letting some things go. The question is, are you willing?

The amount of taxes my husband and I have to pay this year between property tax, income tax, gas tax, sales tax, and all the other taxes is so completely insane I can't believe we aren't burning down the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board knowing that 99% of this money that we can't use for our own family is being sent to the local fraud rings, the thieving homeless industry, and the NGO-Democrat criminals who are bleeding the last few normal people dry. If anyone thinks I am going to start voting for the party who want to INCREASE taxes and impoverish us further: um, no.

Crazy ticket prices come down.. when people stop paying crazy ticket prices! Until people stop paying insane amounts why would they ever come down ? They come down real quick if people don’t pay it. And if people are willing to pay obscene amounts it should go to the artists and not the scalpers.
