Starmer is set to, without so much as a vote in Parliament, commit the UK to signing up to EU rules, regardless of how damaging they could be to our own domestic interests. Brexit gave us the domestic flexibility to chart our own course, Starmer is removing that ability.

In January, the first ripple of the Boriswave became eligible for PERMANENT settlement & BENEFITS
Starmer knows this is disastrous and wishes to extend Indefinite Leave to Remain eligibility from 5 to 10 years
However our weak & feeble PM is under intense pressure from his Labour backbenchers to keep eligibility at 5 years and extend it to the Boriswave ASAP
However, even if ILR is extended to 10 years, Labour are offering people various shortcut routes to achieve ILR much earlier.
In addition, Starmer's open border comrades (i.e. immigration lawyers) are promising to block this extension in the courts.
Let's be clear: the majority of the Boriswave are low-skilled, low-earning migrants from the third world / developing nations.
Allowing them to stay in the UK will be an economic and social catastrophe.
The government - and any new government - must commit to blocking the Boriswave from settling in the UK.
Indefinite Leave to Remain should be abolished.

This is exactly what we need and I will happily give evidence.
When I arrived at the Home Office in September 2022, the number of work and study visas issued the previous year had already exceeded 1,000,000. The Boriswave was flooding the country.
This was a catastrophe.
I went into government with a clear plan to cut net migration. If we moved quickly, we could bring the numbers down before a General Election, I hoped. Yet I was blocked repeatedly by Conservative Prime Ministers and Conservative Cabinet Members. No Minister can act unilaterally- you need Cabinet approval and the Tory Wets kept resisting.
I kept working to persuade, to push, to lobby, to get changes.
I managed to secure the first set of changes (on student dependents) in May 2023. These were the first ever changes to begin the reversal of the Boriswave. Not nearly enough, but a start.
I did not give up.
I continued to lobby for the fuller set of changes (salary threshold increase, lower caps etc) but was constantly blocked by the Chancellor, Health, Education, Business and Agriculture departments, and the PM.
It became one of my big disputes with the PM, and one reason he dismissed me.
The PM eventually introduced some of my proposed changes after I left office. But it was all too little, too late.
I will stand by my record any day.

Angela Rayner: didn’t pay around £40,000 in tax that was owed.
Richard Tice: paid the tax in full.
The entire “scandal” with Tice?
The payment was made from his personal account instead of the company account.
That’s it.
HMRC still got the full amount owed.
In fact, he personally ended up paying more tax than he should have.
One involves Angela Rayner not paying tax when it should have been.
The other is about which account Richard Tice made the payment from.
And people wonder why trust in politics and the media is collapsing.
